“[Augustine didn’t have the level of sophistication of Neoplatonism]”
Contemporary philosopher Dr. Eric Perl describes how Augustine’s God, despite being inspired by Plotinus, lacks the true view of God as the source of being itself, as utterly beyond intellect, rather than as merely equal to being itself.

From April to October, a lot of things changed, eh?
Good job btw, single-handedly ending the Serbian “holy land” claim over Dardania… another Albanian W.
Turns out I’m a pretty good Neoplatonist…

A study of Indo-European traditions reveals to us a system of both universal metaphysics and ethnic customs. It’s not one or the other, it is both.
Ethnic customs without transcendent truth are just arbitrary playthings.
Transcendent truth without ethnic customs leads to atomization.

I think the One is super-mental/super-intelligible ‘consciousness’. I don’t see an issue with substance monism and Platonism going together and I think actually it brings a lot of harmony and continuity to Platonism’s very vertical worldview.
Existence monism ≠ substance monism.

Socrates said that he knows nothing, as the gods were the standard that he measured himself against.
Plotinus tells us that the philosopher compares himself to what is above him rather than that which is inferior, and thus he knows what he lacks.
Iamblichus described Pythagoras as having a kind of philosophical anxiety, in that he “was eager to learn and feared that he might be deprived of some part of learning”.
And Plato warns us against the dangers of being consumed by entertainment, as it is a flattery that employs “appearance-making” and does not bring us true knowledge.
Our families, people, culture, and communities need skillful men of virtuous action, and we should feel shame for our lack thereof—especially when precious time is deliberately wasted on mindless appearance-making, which prolongs our self-alienation from the Eternal.
Powerful: this is part of the Odyssey soundtrack featuring 🇦🇱 Albanian iso-polyphony music.
(h/t @OssoKuka)
The score for Nolan's Odyssey will feature Albanian iso-polyphony folk music.
Composer Göransson "traveled to southern Albania to capture an ancient style of singing called iso-polyphony, which he’d never heard in a film before," @vulture reports.

Looksmaxxing is a homosexual endeavour driven by ego-narcissism.
A healthy diet, regular gym routine and decent fashion choices are all you need as a man to improve yourself.
Injecting yourself with steroids, chemicals, peptides, botox, fillers, tanning treatments and going further with plastic surgery is an extremely feminine tactic to create an artificial version of yourself.
This was previously the domain of female gold diggers to snag rich dudes - but now it's been popularized by a metrosexual self-absorbed and chronically insecure narcissist who named himself after a bone.
This is the Tiktok generation's attempt to create real life versions of the filters they normally apply to themselves on IG, TikTok and Snapchat.

We should reject the term “Balkan.” It is a Turkic-origin word associated with the Ottoman Empire and originally referred to the mountains of Bulgaria.
We are not under the Ottomans. We are not “Balkans.” We are South-East Europeans.
The EU should cannot legitimize this term

Sure:
The preference to spend time with members of your own race is natural and demonstrated by both survey data and enacted preference in voluntary associations and patterns of relocation. In other species the same behavior is observed, where members of one regional variant congregate with their own kind and dissociate from individuals from other regional variants where their territories overlap. So given that this is a natural preference, if we don't use coercive force to prevent people from associating how they like then a large number of people will racially segregate by choice. Using force to prevent people from forming their friendships, families and communities according to their own free will is morally wrong and so racism should be tolerated, where racism means the tendency to prefer your own race.
If force is used to prevent freedom of association and voluntary racial segregation then the underlying preferences won't go away, and a large number of people will have to live in ways that they don't resonate with or desire.
You could argue that some moral program justifies imposing lifestyles on millions of people against their will, and I would say that's a very strong claim and that the burden to justify that would rest with the one advocating for the use of coercive force.
That's an argument for why racial preferences should be morally permissible. Arguments that they are desirable follow.
Society is stronger and more efficient when there's a high degree of trust between citizens. People trust others when they can successfully predict their behavior, and when they regard someone as unpredictable they find it hard to extend trust. Prediction is more effective when there's a deep base of common experience and expectations, meaning you are able to better predict the behavior of someone more similar to yourself. Racial homogeneity, ceterus paribus, facilitates our ability to predict one another's behavior and increases social trust. Survey data also bears this out.
A race is a population where certain traits have been selected for and others have been selected against. It is better for us to have some concept of what attributes we want to foster as we develop down the generations than to be ambivalent about what we're becoming. If a population projects ideals clearly and chooses to develop in a particular direction they'll eventually become a distinct race, and that race will be an expression of their values. If we are conscious in how we develop then we have a chance at improving human life, and our descendents might be happier, more intelligent and more compassionate for it. Being indifferent about race means that you are indifferent about all of the traits that differ by race, which means trait selection will be an unconscious process. If our development is unconscious we have no real say in how it turns out and we don't have as good of a chance of improving human life for our descendents.
Racial diversity is actually good and the variety of human experiences available on earth is a beautiful and God given thing.
But forcing racial diversity at a local level removes the source of diversity, which is our freedom to go develop our own distinct ways of life.
