Proud to have made history with the team at @RainmakerCorp. This spring at @DiscipulusVent, I met @jared_western. Spent two hours at a party with him going deep on waste-to-energy. By the end of the week I knew I was leaving SLC. Since high school I've been obsessed with one question: why can't we turn our waste into cheap fuel? This summer I get to answer it — building the physical intelligence layer at Western Chemicals in El Segundo. Western deploys duckweed to wastewater plants and converts the output into fuel cheaper than trad petrochem processes. Looking for housing in the LA area, ideally close to the refinery. DM if you have leads.

When people say, “You can’t have a Christian Prince in the modern world,” I simply say “Bukele.”

Will never forget the nights spent reading this last winter on the concrete floor of some hangar in Pendleton Oregon…

Thank you guys. I’d like to repost but this is so kind that it would seem vain of me, so I’ll write something separately. For those that see this reply: 1517 not only wrote rainmaker’s first VC check, but Rainmaker plausibly wouldn’t exist hadn’t it been for @William_Blake ‘s book. The spark of inspiration that paper belt on fire gave me was instrumental in my initial research and eventual conviction to found @RainmakerCorp . @DStrachman michael and @zslayback are the best

“US needs more hardcore deep tech early stage funds”
To me this whole saga is more a testament to how venture capital is far too tech risk averse and fundamentally failing at backing companies that it was originally designed to help hyperstition; early stage hardcore deep tech. US needs more hardcore deep tech early stage funds

Plastic. I produce it for 50% cheaper than China. We import $15B of it. China's dominance in the plastic trade will end by my hand and I swear to God I will replace every single Chinese product on our shelves. - 🇺🇸 Indigo Ethylene The ethylene must flow.

Rainmaker has raised $100M to become the world’s best lab for weather modification and atmospheric science. Thank you @noavctech @upfrontvc @DCVC @lowercarbon @DreamVenturesVC and other visionary partners. We are aggressively hiring and scaling our research org to create a flywheel of atmospheric data collection, synthesis, understanding, and intervention. We will solve the weather and we will set the stage for the terraformation of Earth. More in my essay below.

The key to operating in the future is studying the past. Read the Odyssey, not Accelerando. Many youngins in SF stand to benefit.
