I have only three prayers everyday: • My family to be healthy. • Please keep us away from harm and sickness. • Provide for our daily needs.

JUST IN: Classes and work at the Manila Campus will resume tomorrow, October 27, after law enforcement and security officials deemed the campus cleared for occupancy. An emergency evacuation took place, and classes were suspended earlier today as a precautionary measure.

I realized that 98% of everything I hate about the Philippines is government related.

Is CRDJ considered the GOAT? Ramil de Jesus (CRDJ) is widely regarded as the GOAT of Philippine volleyball coaching, particularly in the collegiate ranks, and the consensus has only strengthened after his 13th UAAP title.Philstar Why the case is so strong? 13 UAAP women’s volleyball titles with the DLSU Lady Spikers (every title the school has won in the UAAP). This is the most championships by any coach in UAAP history across all sports, surpassing the legendary Baby Dalupan’s 12 in men’s basketball. Three separate three-peats (Seasons 66–68, 73–75, and 78–80), plus titles in 1999–2000, 2008–09, 2022–23, and the perfect 16-0 Season 88 campaign. Nearly 30 seasons of sustained excellence: dozens of Finals appearances, the longest Final Four streak in the modern era, and the most wins by any UAAP volleyball coach (336+). He built and maintained a true dynasty while constantly turning over players, producing generations of stars who succeeded in the PVL and national team (Aby Maraño, Kim Fajardo, Ara Galang, Michele Gumabao, Angel Canino, Shevana Laput, and many others). Additional success in the professional ranks with F2 Logistics in the PSL (multiple titles). Media outlets, coaches, and fans routinely call him the greatest collegiate volleyball coach in Philippine history — phrases like “GOAT,” “greatest collegiate volleyball royalty,” and “the dynasty himself” became common after the Season 88 title. Context and caveats. “GOAT” is always somewhat subjective. His dominance is concentrated in UAAP women’s collegiate volleyball. His national-team resume is limited (SEA Games bronze in 2005 and a short 2018 stint), and in the modern Premier Volleyball League (PVL), coaches like Sherwin Meneses (Creamline) have compiled strong professional records in a shorter window. Other notable coaches exist in history (e.g., his mentors Kid Santos and Emil Lontoc, or NCAA’s Roger Gorayeb) and on the men’s side (Dante Alinsunurin with NU). Still, no one else matches CRDJ’s combination of volume of titles, longevity, consistency, and program-building impact over nearly three decades in the country’s premier collegiate league. In short: for Philippine volleyball coaching — especially at the collegiate level that has long been the sport’s highest-profile stage — the answer from the evidence and public consensus is YES.

Mag-pray ka. Kahit paulit-ulit.

As a former senior associate at PWC, I was suprised to see ABC spend his time doing pro bono forensic audit work, let alone sit many hours at the impeachment court at the risk of ridicule from the DDS. I know how high his prof fees are. Pero saludo talaga, ABC! Thanks for highlighting the significance of the job we do! What a time to be a CPA in the Philippines!
Atty. Alex Cabrera is a masterclass in professional-brilliant, composed, meticulous, and effective under pressure. His ability to translate complex financial evidence into a clear and legally relevant narrative is exceptional. A proud moment for the Philippine CPA profession.

Reminder lang na yung mga nasa prosecution, lalo na ang mga pro bono private prosecutors, ay lumalaban PARA sa BAYAN. Yung nasa defense ang pinaglalaban ay para sa isang tao.

Realizations After Hearing the Prosecution Witnesses: 1. There are competent and principled government employees who serve with integrity and are worthy of the taxes we pay. They remind us that public service can still be honorable. 2. The CPAs who testified demonstrated fidelity to their professional oaths. Independence, objectivity, and integrity are not merely professional ideals. They are responsibilities that must be upheld, especially when the truth matters most. 3. Atty. Alex Cabrera, in my assessment, sufficiently established the connection among the subpoenaed documents. Each document may tell only part of the story, but examining them together provides a clearer picture. 4. The prosecution has made its case. It has presented evidence that deserves serious consideration and scrutiny. Whether that evidence ultimately establishes the charges is for the impeachment court to determine. 5. The respondent has something to explain. This is not a declaration of guilt, nor does it shift the burden of proof. But the evidence presented raises questions that deserve substantive answers. 6. The Filipino people deserve the truth and closure. Not speculation. Not political theatrics. Not convenient narratives. Just the truth, established through evidence and due process. The prosecution has the burden to prove. The respondent has the right to be heard. And the Filipino people have every reason to demand truth and accountability. Ultimately, this is bigger than the prosecution, the respondent, or any political personality. It is about preserving public trust in our institutions and reminding everyone that public office is a public trust.
