the Russell Brand stuff and the UK Naughty Sex Act is such a lovely thematic overlap. A ruling class whose unaccountable sexual exploits are the privilege of power viewing the population of proles and plebians as exactly as full of overflowing sinful impulses as themselves

six months’ time and the only thing it’s still legal to watch in Britain is SAS Rogue Heroes and the government still comes to your house and makes you skip forward past all the bits of Dominic West crossdressing
The only politician in Night City who doesn't take corpo money is having his brain rewritten in real time by the shadow people, and you have people asking why there's no Cyberpunk version of Lenin.

there’s this horrible seesaw as well where when a right wing party get in they keep all of the libs’ nanny state stuff and when the libs get in they keep all of the right’s fash stuff

Should be if you do bad enough on dating apps, someone approaches you irl with a business card like like Squid Games inviting you to the secret app for losers. I actually think this would change the world. For better or worse, I can’t say

Most news out of the UK these days is like “you have to send in a blood sample to access gamefaqs walkthroughs of mature rated titles” and “two people with the same hair color cannot be in an adult film” good luck over there, everyone.

gossip from sources in R senate campaigns, lots of blame but one theme emerging: the Million Charlie Kirks were a catastrophe. half of them hatched "unsouled" and slid sideways into hell before they could vote; the rest were "webs of blood and tooth" who largely went third-party

The reason for this is simply the boomer-centric view of british culutre.
british video-games, techno, warhammer etc are all still 'juvenile' coded to the pensioner class despite being massive money-makers and cultural juggernauts.

Every single time these people expose themselves as lunatics. Every single time.
Everybody in the UK keeps saying there are no jobs and that is why people are claiming benefits.
WELL HERES A JOB:
£12.71 an hour.
Full-time.
Monday to Friday.
Warehouse work.
I get job offers like this coming through every day from companies like Evri, Amazon and The Hut Group.
So what’s actually going on?
I think it’s too easy to claim benefits.

chud fatigue is a real phenomena. the worst excesses that people attribute to the left years ago were mostly the passive force of a hegemonic cultural status quo. chud behavior by contrast is an escalating series of vice signalling competitions by which they derive social status.
People are fucking tired of this shit.
They're tired of the name-calling. The tantrums. The playing with soyjaks and Harry Potter and Star Wars dolls. The sexually charged fixations on streamers and Twitter accounts that hurt your feelings. The crybully shit that nobody buys because you're fundamentally violent and angry people who never even hide it.
You're fucking losers. You're fundamentally unpopular losers who believed that your Twitter engagement represented a nationally popular ideology and went on a humiliating ego trip for the last two years. Shitting your pants over and over and then announcing it was a W when people pointed out the smell.
The country is sick of you, and the world is sick of you. Your Twitter numbers do not mean shit. It's time to accept that it's over and go out and form real connections with real people. Or go on being the village idiots.

Everyone is talking about Woke 1 and Woke 2. This is too intellectual and too American, most British people do have an ideology. The only way to see the general 'mood' is to look at 'twee', the moral and aesthetic assumptions of 70% of the country

When I started working I used to get a bonus, thank you payment at Christmas, bank Holiday time and a half if worked and paid if taken off, canteen with a cooked lunch now all gone. Bosses constantly look for ways to give staff the bare minimum so should expect the same in return
