Draken's Uppercut is very unique, having a chargeable anti-air is extremely useful for baiting just defends! Also because it doesnt count as a traditional "DP" it doesnt get the 20% scaling applied to the the combo afterwards. V strong! #COTW_Draken #TokyoRevengers

Was downstairs while my gf was watching dancing with the stars yesterday and it’s truly only us being treated like cattle. The second it’s not a sporting event the ads return back to normal. A car commercial, a restaurant, toilet paper. They are conditioning you.

I've had really solid results with my recent SWC qualification and EWC run and considering I've managed this while having limited travel opportunities and time with my fulltime job, I believe I have potential to go further. I'll be looking for a team for COTW for the next year.

Professional athlete in a salary cap league has to take less money to keep a team together while ownership makes significantly more. LETS GOOOOOOO
ESPN’s Malika Andrews: “Are you really willing to take less?” KAT: “I want us all to stay together. That's always been my main priority. Nowhere in my mind was a max contact was even thought about.” Jalen Brunson: “Sign the contract.” (h/t @ohnohedidnt24)

Just like in KOF 2002, there is a specific extension after Ray Spin (Stand) that allows you to perform a loop. This is also possible in KOF XV, except that you need to spend another EX. Here, I focus on the stun that this extension can cause and its consequences during the fight.

We were able to start our careers as professional gamers and launch Shinobism, including our apprentice program, because EG believed in us and gave us a chance. Justin, Ricki, PR Balrog, K-Brad, Marn, and fLoE — EG was an incredible team that brought us together with such amazing people. Even now, I still love them and this team with all my heart.

A few notes of context that may help here: 1) Japan historically does not understand the PC modding community. It is only tolerated when it goes through official routes. During Automata’s development, I was trying to bring in a famous PC modder to make the PC port bulletproof. When I left the company, unfortunately that advocacy went away, and that person was not able to be involved. I was pretty sad about that, but without strong advocates internally to bring that community into the tent, it is just simply not understood. 2) Japan is culturally STRONGLY aligned with “do not cause trouble for people.” Westerners view these mods as game preservation/extension; Japanese feel that you should not preserve or extend what does not belong to you because who will take responsibility if it causes issues. Who will take responsibility if someone mistakenly blames the original creators and not the modder for said issue. It is all about not creating issues for folks, or 迷惑行為 (meiwaku kōi) which can be translated all the way from annoying to legal standards like harassment or disorderly conduct. 3) Because of the above, Japan has always been strongly aligned with creator rights. You always try to get permission. Yes, there are pockets of work like Doujin that seem to go against this ethos, and I somewhat agree at the contradiction, but doujin are viewed as a derivative expression of fandom and not a modification of the original work of the creator and passing it off as the “better version.” That sort of act is viewed with this level of disdain because of the implied arrogance that the modder both 1) assumes they allowed to do what they are doing with impunity because they judge it to be better, 2) are releasing it for others. Finally, there is a huge difference between doing something and releasing something. The line here is clearly releasing it to others. That is the tripwire. And to be honest, I can see it both ways. If someone decompiled Bayo 2 and put it out on PC, I think I’d be pretty miffed. Nintendo saved that game with their money, and to do so would create a negative business environment and damage their future prospects. It’s their game to exploit. Just like Namco could do a PC Tekken collection with online play. That would be their choice first; not the arbitrary choice of a modder. That right is reserved by the original creator. Not saying folks have to like it; there is a strong argument for preservation (without distribution) in some cases. Adding and distributing non-shipped features does seem to cross a line though. So I get it.
This might be the single best tweet summarizing the current hostility some Japanese gamers have towards Westerners, all because Western fans created a mod for Tekken 6 (2007) that lets people play it online on PC for the first time.

To be serious about the Tekken 6 discourse for a moment: I’ve seen a number of tweets about “Japanese FGC” aura loss or how much one’s opinion on the “Japanese FGC” has dropped due to this, and yes the racist language on both sides is ugly, but all of you are saying “Japanese FGC” when you really mean Japanese society. The reason you come visit the country and tweet about how everything is so nice is the same reason you are so upset right now - people following rules, regardless of how nonsensical or outdated they seem. I grew up in America where rules are generally treated like suggestions, so it was incredibly frustrating when I first moved here and couldn’t understand why people wouldn’t make exceptions or bend rules to help me out for things that I thought were minor. It was just me constantly asking “Why??” and getting told, “That’s just how it is,” with no room for discussion. I thought I knew better and things should be changed to be more convenient for me, but after adjusting my thinking and seeing how everyone followed these same rules, it made living here so much more comfortable - it’s why I’ve chosen to stay for 15+ years. Now OBVIOUSLY I am not saying no one in Japan breaks rules, but it’s understood that if you get caught then no one is going to be there defending you. That’s where this whole issue comes from - you are not going to convince anyone on Twitter that “This rule is dumb, I'm going to ignore it.” If you’re gonna do it, then do it - but no amount of justification will make it acceptable in the eyes of most people here. So yes, this is a complex issue, but it is not the “Japanese FGC” you are dealing with, it's Japan’s rule-based society as a whole. It’s been very interesting and pretty nostalgic to watch from the sidelines. As for my stance: No comment 😇

my plans moving forward after the donation goal streams/brazil if we make it are to compete mainly in COTW for the EWC/SWC circuit in 2027. Looking for an org to represent and win with. I've proven to be one of the in every game I compete in including this one at the start.
