5 Books we recommend to all recruits 👇
"Who Gets In and Why" - @jselingo
We’ll go on record to say this is hands down the best book on college admissions out there. Helps you better understand how admissions decisions are made - and what you can do about it!
"A Most Beautiful Thing" - @arshaycooper
A compelling read that you won't be able to put down. Mr. Cooper shares his experience growing up in Chicago and how he came to join the 1st ever all-Black Public HS rowing team.
"Brave Dragons" - @JimBYardley
Ever wonder what it is like to live in another country? This book gives you a glimpse while demonstrating the power of sports to bring people together - even during challenging situations.
"Unbroken" - Laura Hillenbrand
The life story of the main character in this book is so wild, we had to double check that it wasn’t fiction. A must read, especially before the L.A. Summer Olympics in 2028.
“The Bounce and The Echo” - @Ian_Johnson_22
Ian’s perspective on sports, mental health, and transitioning to regular life after athletics will hit home for so many. Can’t recommend this enough, especially for athletes preparing for the “real world”.
What should we add to our list for the future?

Arshay donated a new boat called “Grove Love” in honor of the Walnut Grove neighborhood that was once in the footprint of RIVERSPORT. It was a beautiful night for our community alongside the Oklahoma River! #1OKC (3/3)
