Former CIA officer John Kiriakou, on Indonesia 1965 :

The CIA's own 1968 research study called the killings "one of the worst mass murders of the 20th century". The agency knew exactly what it was looking at.
Then Washington backed Suharto for 32 years.
I keep coming back to this one because it's the case that shaped everything after it, from Chile to the colour revolutions of today.
If the people who ran it called it a success, what exactly were they measuring ?

Dapat informasi katanya Karhutla uda terjadi dari tahun 80an dan dianggap hal biasa, tapi kenapa ga mikirnya dengan kemajuan teknologi dan ilmu pengetahuan harusnya bisa lebih dikurangi bahkan di stop ga sih? Bukan malah jadi hal yang dianggap biasa.
Chola ga pernah nyerang/naklukin Jawa sama sekali! justru serangan Chola ke Sriwijaya di Sumatra itu yg bikin Kerajaan Kahuripan di Jawa mulai bangkit buat nyatuin kembali kekuasaan di Jawa Timur dan merebut pasar Sriwajaya sbg pusat pelabuhan internasional baru di Nusantara
meskipun mereka sebelum masuk bathub udah mandi dulu pake shower, tapi agak gimana gitu ya kalo air buat berendam itu dipake lagi buat nyuci baju😭
