This is indeed an exceptional offer. Great value for business class redemption. But before you invest over 1.7L in this, please recheck if you are going to use this in near future and you really need this & can afford the spend in nearterm.

I agree to this post. Now a days, Infinia card seems like any other super premium card forcing you to spend high on retail+online. Premier stands out as a very rewarding card if you are focused on miles game.
The gap between HDFC Infinia and HSBC Premier feels much smaller now. Infinia’s SmartBuy voucher rewards are capped at 3,000 accelerated points per month. On eligible 5X vouchers, you reach that bonus cap at roughly ₹22,500 of spending. Base points are separate, but this has significantly reduced the benefit for people routing everyday spending through vouchers. Both cards offer accelerated rewards on flights and hotels through their platforms: SmartBuy for Infinia and Travel with Points, powered by Hopper, for Premier. The rates and caps differ, so the actual booking price and rewards matter. Transfer ratios are another important consideration. Take Accor: • 10,000 Infinia points → 5,000 Accor points at 2:1 • 10,000 Premier points → 10,000 Accor points at 1:1 Premier gives you twice as many Accor points from the same reward-point balance. But for Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer, both transfer at 1:1: • 10,000 Infinia points → 10,000 KrisFlyer miles • 10,000 Premier points → 10,000 KrisFlyer miles So Premier’s transfer advantage depends on your preferred partner. For KrisFlyer, the bigger question is which card earns you more points on your actual spending. Premier also rewards categories such as rent, wallet loads and government payments, within a combined ₹1 lakh monthly limit across the specified categories. Transaction fees still matter, but that gives it an advantage on spending Infinia excludes. Eligibility and retention are another big consideration. To retain Infinia, HDFC specifies ₹18 lakh spending per financial year, including add-ons, OR ₹50 lakh relationship value. Premier has its own requirements, including ₹50 lakh relationship balance or ₹3 lakh net monthly salary credit. For someone facing an Infinia downgrade who independently qualifies for HSBC Premier, the switch makes a lot of sense to me, especially if Accor is their preferred transfer partner. Infinia still has its strengths. But unless HDFC improves the voucher proposition again, I don’t think it remains the automatic choice it once was.

September: Visited Titan Eye+. Quoted ₹11K for 2 progressive glasses. Good, premium products, but they couldn't even bother to share my eye-test results. Great products, pathetic service. October: Tried Lenskart. Got 2 progressives for ₹6.5K. Pretty decent deal. But 20 days later, I was still uncomfortable. Requested a return, and they accepted it. Service remains top-notch, but product quality? Still MEH! November: Got another eye test done at a nearby optical centre. Turns out Lenskart had got my prescription wrong, changing both SPH and CYL values. They quoted ₹5K for a new pair. My response? NAH! Finally, walked into Raj Opticals near my home. Booked progressive lenses with a blue-light filter, UV protect and wide corridor for just ₹2,750, all-inclusive. Paid via UPI using Magnus RuPay. @Lenskart_com and @titaneyeplus gaye ghuyian ke khet mein! 😂 Don't waste money just for convenience. Offline stores still ROCK!

I do not agree to this logic. No cost EMI is still much better because of interest free borrowing.
No Cost EMI is one of the biggest scams sold to Indians! First of all it is never No cost, you have to pay the GST on the interest part Second, it makes you spend money you haven't even earned yet hence addictive! Third, if you try to pay it upfront, there are costs like pre-closure fees and taxes Fourth, multiple EMIs can start adding up really fast No Cost EMI can make sense in certain conditions, but taking an informed decision is very important. The product is not cheaper just because you are paying it in instalments. Make sure it doesn't make you spend more than required!
