We don't watermark at @askprivateai . How our customers use AI is up to them.
Incidentally, using private.ai to rewrite text will also remove watermarks.
anthropic is about to watermark the text claude writes for you, worldwide, starting tuesday. the detector goes to regulators, journalists and big enterprises. everyone except the person who paid for the text.
so your cold email, your linkedin post, the resume you rewrote three times can get flagged as claude by some hr tool or editor, and you can't even run the check yourself to see what they'll see.
openai only does this in the eu. anthropic rolled it out everywhere.
you pay them monthly and they build a snitch layer on top of your work.
Would you let a stranger view your AI chats?

The ranking members of the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees have written a letter to President Trump asking whether he has been soliciting advice from Grok in order to help carry out his official duties as President of the United States.
They also demanded that he preserve any prompts sent to Grok, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity, as well as outputs in response to those prompts, that were 'submitted to AI chatbots in carrying out your constitutional, statutory, or other official or ceremonial duties.'
The letter was provided by Politico.

“Claude reads the team’s chat transcripts”
We know it’s Halloween, but this is real creepy.
🦔Anthropic launched “smart reports” for Claude Enterprise this week. A manager picks a team and a date range, and Claude reads the team’s chat transcripts and flags “inefficiencies,” including sessions it labels “personal or off-topic.” Anthropic says the reports shouldn’t be used to evaluate individual workers or make employment decisions.
My Take
Companies cut jobs and pin it on AI, while 90% of executives in one big survey say AI hasn’t made their companies more productive. Now the AI can hand a manager a chart of who looks “inefficient.” Anthropic says not to use it for employment decisions, but Proton just told its staff their jobs depend on an AI re-interview, so I don’t think that line holds for long.
Anthropic also has more than $800 billion in compute and lease commitments to pay for, and this report comes with a button to raise a worker’s spending limit. So it doubles as a sales tool. The catch for Anthropic is that workers who know a manager can read the chart will think twice before they open Claude.

My whole life is in my Gmail.
Connect Gmail to Google's AI and your emails can shape your ads.
Google's advice: "don't connect your Google content apps if they contain personal or confidential information that you wouldn't want a reviewer to see."
So that's everyone's inbox, then.
