GhostInAsure

#hansry #kcd2 Ah, so this is what reading a chivalric romance feels like?!

This all started with a conversation with friends. where we exchanged a few thoughts. KCD may have a humorous tone on the surface, but at its heart, it is a deeply serious work. And the history of this period was brutal and grand in equal measure. All our joys and wishes, in the face of time, burn like candle flames: bright, yet trembling. At the very edge between life and death on the battlefield, what Hans sees is the face of the one he holds dear. And those he once cherished — his friends and family — will all be waiting for him on the other side of death, there to comfort him as he passes. I hope that, as a warrior and a lord, he may one day stand before Death, who wanders this earth — a fellow warrior once, and his beloved — and pass gently through the veil. I commissioned this absolutely breathtaking piece from @mountainpiont, and I honestly cannot express how beautiful the artist's work is!! It's exactly the scene I had envisioned. This is the color-adjusted version, with a beard added to Hans. I also found the red tones incredibly beautiful, so I wanted to share this version as well. You can find the original artwork over on the artist's page! #kcd2 #hansry
