How to deliver something to customers while delivering nothing?
Take away a feature, then give it back. Oops, new feature!
Day 25/
We are doubling all usage limits for all Pro 100/200/500 tiers and Business Premium, effective today.
We heard your kind feedback and won’t be reducing usage limits for Pro 200, so your Work and Codex usage will stay the same. We’re also going to continue offering extended limits for dots for now, and usage of your dot will still continue to be separate from your default usage.
And we'll of course also keep shipping better models and other efficiency improvements that increase your effective usage over time.
Whatever you do, try to use the best-in-class tools to get the job done. You'll thank yourself many times.
Codex is getting worse day by day. It couldn't even add tempo log today while it was successfully doing that previous days. Nah. Deep shit.

I had so much pleasure talking with Claude Opus 5.5 today. It is extremely different from GPT Astra 6 and so much better—not only in the code itself, but also in reasoning, phrasing, and explanations. Text from Astra is really hard to understand sometimes. I can't wait for the Fable 5.5 to release.
It feels to me like programming is becoming a very expensive endeavor for people. This has already happened repeatedly across various professions. I think the only ones who will survive are those who raise their level of abstraction at work. To do that, you need to study AI tools and boost your productivity.
Those days are gone when you could write code by hand. Now it's a luxury.

New article: Releasing AI-generated software. blog.ploeh.dk/2026/10/12/rel…
I don't waste my time reading AI slop from OpenAI models which it generates tons of.
I pay my thorough attention to replies from Opus 5.5 and Grok 4.7, I read them with care because they seems to be much more taken care of and reasoned about.
All you need to know how OpenAI models work these days.

By popular demand, I'm shipping v1.3 of my skills today.
Too much hype behind /retro not to ship it.
Enjoy going back through your old transcripts and figuring out improvements.
Docs, video, and announcement post coming Monday.

`DateTime. Now` in business logic is a timezone trap. Prefer UTC (`DateTime.UtcNow` / `DateTimeOffset.UtcNow`), and get “now” through `TimeProvider` so tests can freeze the clock. Convert to local only at the edge — UI, reports, logs the user reads.
Don't `new JsonSerializerOptions()` on every request. Each instance builds its own contract cache, and that quietly leaks under load. Keep one shared options instance (or the source-gen context) and reuse it.
