video game industry is doing everything they can to make sure I stop buying new games because they'll all be infested thankfully I've spent decades building a backlog that is longer than my remaining lifespan you can poison the future, but you'll never take the past.
Hey everyone, there’s been some questions going on around here about Epic’s use of AI in Unreal Engine development. I’ve answered some questions from the good folks at This Week in Videogames. TLDR: Yes we are using AI in UE development (as we actually mentioned back at Unreal Fest) and it’s helping with pretty much everything. thisweekinvideogames.com/new…

A brand-new employee made a smashing start to her career at a Texas salon, as the glass sliding door she was closing exploded into hundreds of tiny pieces, leaving her client and other employees stunned.

The AI bubble isn’t where Wall Street is looking. It’s inside the enterprise. 79% of companies running AI say the GPUs they use sit idle at least half the time. Yet 70% of those companies plan new AI infrastructure, according to three months of VentureBeat Intelligence surveys.

because of course the company that now owns Torchlight II is using AI to "fix" things so now even old PC games are not safe from vibe coded bullshit

Replying to @MegaRan
EA still owns all the underlying code, but even with it, would have to be the most heavily funded KS of all time games of that scope and scale have absurd budgets, why you usually need a publisher to foot the bill BG3 is an anomaly (and Larian still has Tencent funding)
