In this study, we show that microglial cells play a key role in Alzheimer's disease, particularly in regulating changes in soluble tau, based on cell-type-specific genetic evidence.

DOPA decarboxylase (DDC) is clearly elevated in both CSF and plasma in Lewy body diseases (PD and DLB) and in other parkinsonian diseases affecting dopaminergic neurones. We further show that the DDC levels are increased already in presymptomatic disease. rdcu.be/dmrlg
