Baffling thing about Lorenz's ascent to the highest ranks of journalism is her reporting skills were... okay? She never broke any signature scoops. She didn't have particularly keen insights and analysis. Wasn't an impressive writer. She just knew about TikTok before others and relentlessly self-promoted.

I can’t even imagine not having full self driving now. Put it in whatever box you need to I don’t even care about the rest of the car.

If you’re a great engineer it’s much faster, more lucrative, and most importantly a lot more fun (if you’re a psycho like we all are) to just join Gauntlet AI.

This is what Gauntlet AI’s interviewer does, by the way. Submit your code. OK now it’s going to pick apart your code, ask you why you did certain things, and ask you to justify the system design. Shipping code that works is free now. Shipping the right code is still hard.
let candidates use ai in the interview. make them defend every decision in what they build. i care more about what you can ship with leverage than how well you perform with your tools taken away.

You know you can just look this stuff up, right? You can literally look up that Tesla has $45 Billion in the bank and is doing billions in profit every quarter.
Scott Galloway says Tesla is the patient in Musk's SpaceX merger and SpaceX shareholders are the organ donors "It's a real merger with a fake promise. When Musk merges something into another, it's an acknowledgement that it's about to crater." "He stuffed Twitter into xAI, which then got folded into SpaceX. His M&A strategy is simple. When one of his kids is failing, he makes another family adopt it." "So, right now, Tesla is the patient and SpaceX is the organ donor or SpaceX shareholders are the organ donor." "So, who wins? Tesla shareholders... That's like trading, you know, your Buick for a piece of a Gulfstream."

I still prefer OpenAI's models for most deep-in-the-weeds or very specific things. Anthropic/Claude still wins for overall orchestration. By a lot.

A link on our site was broken (because an integration failed) and nobody had noticed it for a couple of days. Solution? Put together a Quality Control Bot that crawls the entire website as a first-time user every day, tests all forms and CTAs. x.ai/bot/naGR5kuKNpP7qdHipc0…

This is the craziest stat from the Anthropic S-1: Anthropic has more in cash and cash equivalents than: Microsoft Alphabet/Google Apple Amazon Meta Nvidia Even if you include marketable securities it has more cash + securities than Microsoft, Amazon, Meta or Nvidia.

Anthropic net revenue retention is NINE HUNDRED PERCENT. What a ridiculous stat.

And yes, this is very much not Anthropic subsidizing Uber rides at negative gross margin to increase volume. Obviously inference is extremely profitable.

Another GrokBot template for you: The non-evil sales bot.
Most sales tools are built to send spam, but I wanted the opposite: It identifies buyers matching your ICP then mines your emails, texts, X, LinkedIn, etc. and finds your closest/warmest intro. x.ai/bot/5YWYxtjBD3kmr95SoCA…

This will be PERFECT for all those drones that merely follow runners on a quick jog through the dense forest
Purdue University's IDEAS Lab built an autonomous drone that tracks runners through dense forests completely without GPS or cloud networks. By running 3D LiDAR mapping and obstacle-avoidance AI entirely on-chip, it can weave under tree canopies and predict target movement through blind spots in real time. Massive implications for next-gen search & rescue and edge AI.

What changed in the last 24 hours of AI for builders: • Context engineering is now harness engineering • Token prices fell up to 80% • JetBrains built an IDE around the agent • Agent memory went mainstream 👇

Wow, Stewart Butterfield had just ONE HOUR of total face time with Marc Benioff before Salesforce announced its $27.7B acquisition of Slack, the second-largest software acquisition in history at the time. “My last meeting with him was cut short because McConaughey arrived.” Stewart left the company after 18 months; he says the tipping point came when he was invited to Davos to represent Slack and Salesforce. Thinking he would be there to talk to customers, he instead found himself scheduled on a panel about innovation with will.i.am, another of Salesforce’s celebrity spokespeople. “It was so fucked up.” Fun read into the culture clash between Slack and Salesforce.
