A database-less approach like next-auth only for JWT session handling would be much appreciated

We’re excited to share that Auth.js (formerly known as NextAuth.js), is now part of Better Auth. We're excited to keep making auth *better across the web.

Did you know you can migrate to @authjs NextAuth.js v5 from v4 without losing active user sessions? Technically you could even migrate to a different framework integration. Did a small example: github.com/balazsorban44/v4-…

If you use @nextauthjs, have you tried NextAuth.js v5 yet? If you had issues or have other feedback, tell us in the replies!

Great post! There are a bunch of new improvement we've added recently to simplify the setup.
1. You don't need the core package installed, we reexport pretty much everything you need from the SvelteKit package already (hopefully) 😄

I decided to get back into blogging. @chriscoyier has a new site, so you know I wanted in❤️
I wrote a post on authentication using Auth.js, with SvelteKit. If you've ever used next-auth you're in luck: NextAuth is now Auth.js, and is framework agnostic 🚀

You can start with something like auth.js all open source sets up database for you

Update! Got joined by another 🐐! We did an offsite in Lofoten Islands (Norway), planning/working on the NextAuth.js v5 stable release, our new documentation, and started to work on guidelines for new framework integrations.
But above all, we had a great time together! 💚
Tell me your open-source project is successful, without telling me your open-source project is successful.
Welcome @thanghvu in Norway! Some good @nextauthjs work is on the way... 👀
Brought to you by our @opencollect sponsors. 💚

Did some cleanup in the @nextauthjs monorepo this evening.
Also worked on @sveltejs Auth, it now exposes providers directly, no need to install the core lib! (I intend to give a bit more love to SvelteKit Auth from now on.)
`npm i @auth/sveltekit` or sveltekit.authjs.dev

@nextauthjs documentation has been criticized recently.
Since I've mostly worked on it alone, I can only say sorry, but now I would like to focus on it much more and address as much as possible!
Leave a comment what's the most confusing/what should be prioritized.

I've written some new @nextauthjs docs around database adapters.
Actually, most adapter setups (and related database models) can be much simpler! Check this out: authjs.dev/guides/adapters/c…
Basic user management only needs 2 tables and 5 properties in your db!
