I am not a big fan of individual awards because football means teamwork and family and belonging to something greater. But Unai represents his own excellency and the hard work and effort of hundreds of men and women with a purpose in Aston Villa. From owners to staff. Unai didn’t win but he deserved with my high respect to Luis De la Fuente, also a fair winner. And if there will be one for the best sporting director it would be for Roberto. Keep going guys. Our Ballon d’Or is what we are building. UTV.

It's that delusion and denial that is killing them. They can't accept that they need to clear it all out and start again and it will take years. Constantly think one manager or one transfer window will solve all their problems.

The delusion and denial that Man Utd fans wallow in, as they refuse to accept that Aston Villa may be a more attractive Club to work for than theirs, is a joy to watch. And the Brummies who chose easy trophies in childhood over following a club with which they could build a TRUE connection… Watching them despair over the basket case Yanited has become - while the club round the corner is on an exciting upward trajectory - is something I’ll always delight in. Seeing them salivating for a taste of what we have now… Feed me more.

Damian’s face when Unai says “It’s an Aston Villa suit”… This was no coincidence. This was a message.

This prick again. He thought: 1) Steven Gerrard was Aston Villa’s ceiling. 2) It’s okay to spit on kids out his car window.

Could Unai Emery be the answer to Manchester United’s struggles? Jamie Carragher believes he’s the best manager in the Premier League! 💪

I think United should consider an interim manager next. Just let everything calm down a bit. Why not a former player? They would know the club inside out. It's got to be an advantage. And if they do ok, why not give them the gig full time next summer?

The image in the post is inauthentic, as Aston Villa's front-of-shirt sponsor for 2026/27 is Visit Rwanda, not Betano. sportsbusinessjournal.com/Articles/2026/… africasoccer.com/aston-villa-co…

I tell you what #MUFC fans… If you’re so confident that Emery would leave “small club” Aston Villa for Man Utd’s paradise… put your money where your mouth is. Whack £100 on this at 11/1 and share the screenshot in the replies… You won’t… because you don’t even believe your own bullshit

Stop lying. Lindelof was a substitute last season, he was disastrous last season and is still disastrous this year. I watch almost every Premier League match and every Aston Villa match i watch (that shit club) reminds me why we sold that horrible player, even worse than Maguire

This argument was valid over a decade ago. It’s just not true nowadays.
Martin Brown@Brownaldo12Oct 24
Less pressure playing for Villa than Man Utd. Harsh but true. Some peopythrive on it, most sadly don't. He's a decent player.

United should be throwing everything at Unai Emery right now if they want to be the slightest bit serious.

Has Man U legend and fantastic manager Steve Bruce ever managed them? Could be his moment, just what they need.

So who are Man Utd going to hire for a year before replacing them with Peter Schmeichel as interim, giving him the perm job in Summer and sacking him the following october?

Hahaha to think we could have ended up with Senne Lemons if we shifted Emi a year earlier 💀
