Hakstol was impressive today. He seems very process driven. Talked about working with NHL teams that hold rights to college players on development alignment.
With his NHL head coaching background and relationships, and the academics/ambience at ASU, he could get elite players.
Dave Hakstol said he wants to build ASU into a program that consistently produces NHL talent:
"We want this to be a great pathway to the NHL. That's one of the reasons why we want players to choose ASU as the right place for them and their development."

According to a memo obtained by The Athletic, the WNBA sent out the âplayoff hold datesâ to team presidents, GMs and scheduling contacts on Dec. 4, 2025.
So why didnât the Dream secure State Farm Arena? In part, itâs not their primary arena.

New ASU hockey head coach Dave Hakstol on how Sun Devil hockey players have handled him taking over the program during difficult circumstances:
"The guys want to be coached. They're craving that. The best thing that I can do is provide leadership... I'm aware of everything. I'm aware of some of the things these players are possibly dealing with. But I make no assumptions. We hit things head-on on a daily basis."

There's been such a stark change in ASU fans support of Cutter Boley.
Just over a month ago, Sun Devil fans were chanting his name as he walked off the field in London.
But then this past Saturday, they booed him before he even took a snap.
Pretty striking.
I got the chance to speak to one of @SunDevilWBB freshmen, @averie_lower, today, and when I asked her about @MollyMiller33's coaching style, she told me this:
"I mean, her energy, and with everything she does, whether it's like feedback or literally anything, she's so great about giving us feedback and with purpose. I even get it from my teammates, too. But her coaching style is 10 out of 10. I just love it."

I attended today's Arizona State women's basketball availability in Tempe, and one of @EllaRyan2025's quotes fascinated me.
When I asked her why she chose Arizona State, she told @Echo_Buttes. "I want to play here because Molly [Miller] was excited about me from the jump. From the very first time I stepped foot onto campus, she was showing that she believed in me, that she wanted me here, and knew that I could play at this level. And when I came here and felt that for my coach, it was just amazing."

One thing to clarity: Iâm told â26 playoff holds were sent to teams on Dec. 4, 2025. My understanding is teams wouldnât have tip times for games, but would have the dates of playoff games
The Atlanta Dream ownership group has released a statement regarding the matinee time change for Game 6, in part saying âplaying a midday game on a Thursday is not what we would have chosen and not what we fought for.â
The letter says they raised scheduling concerns to the league two months ago.
