Kris Mayes keeps changing her story on water. In 2009, as chair of the Arizona Corporation Commission, she said on Arizona PBS Horizon that when water “increases in price—and people use less of it … that’s a good thing." Then she went further: “I think we can all come together around this idea that maybe the price needs to go up.” Now she’s telling parents that no one should have to worry whether their kids will have enough water to grow up here, and that as a mom she’ll never stop fighting to protect it for the next generation. But more water only helps Arizona families if they can actually afford the bill. Arizona families deserve the full record— not a campaign message that glosses over what she said when she had the power to shape those prices.
No Arizona parent should have to worry about whether their kids will have enough water to grow up here. Arizona families deserve to know their kids can build a future here. That’s what this fight is about. And as a mom myself, I’ll never stop fighting to protect our water for the next generation.💧

DONT CA MY AZ @katiehobbs
Gavin Newsom says democratic socialists will be “dominant” in his party. Last week Katie Hobbs was all smiles beside him in San Francisco. Does she stand with him on this, too? Hobbs claims she’ll buck her own party. Prove it. Condemn the socialist takeover Newsom predicts. You don’t get to campaign as an independent voice and duck the question when your party’s radicals want the keys. If Hobbs won’t stand up to the radicals in her own party, why trust her to keep their agenda out of Arizona? Arizona is not California’s next project. DON’T CALIFORNIA MY ARIZONA. Vote Hobbs OUT. #DontCAmyAZ

Katie Hobbs has had 4 years to deliver results. ❌ Classroom spending share: historic low. ❌ Reading proficiency (NAEP): declined. ❌ School closures: ongoing statewide. ❌ Prop 123 renewal: didn't happen. Her consistent focus has been attacking the popular ESA program instead of fixing the results in the system she controls. Arizona needs a Governor who will follow through and a Superintendent who will right the ship.
As the sibling of public school educators, I've seen firsthand how hard our teachers work to help every child succeed. I believe every Arizona child deserves a quality public education. That's why I've prioritized raising teacher pay, investing in our classrooms, and fighting to secure billions for public schools through Prop 123 without raising taxes. And I'll keep pushing to crack down on waste, fraud, and abuse in the ESA program.

🚨 IT'S NOT JUST TEMPE: Before Tempe asks residents for another permanent sales tax under Prop 424, City Hall should answer for existing spending. Money is fungible. Tempe already has a dedicated 0.5% transit tax, and there are no ironclad guarantees the new dollars won’t simply free up other funds for different priorities. Earmarks on paper do not automatically mean more funding for public safety, transit, or preschool. This pattern—local governments seeking to offset state-level tax relief by raising their own rates—is exactly why the statewide races matter. The same election that decides Prop 424 will decide whether Arizona continues Republican-driven tax relief and spending restraint, or sees more cities claw the money back from residents. If we want lower taxes and real accountability instead of constant “just 50 cents” asks, elect Republicans who deliver lasting tax relief and force better budgeting instead of perpetual hikes. FACT: Prop 144 preserves every voting option available today while ADDING a new one — voters can tabulate their ballot on Election Day at their polling location, speeding up results. These are the kinds of reforms the public already supports. 83% of Americans favor requiring photo ID to vote (including majorities of Democrats), and large majorities also back proof of citizenship and banning foreign money in elections. Yet Sen. Kelly and the out-of-state-funded Will of the People are still pushing the claim that it disenfranchises voters. Arizona voters must see through the misinformation. Here’s what Kris Mayes spent the last four years doing: 🎯 Obsessing over Trump (48–49 lawsuits) ⚖️ Lawfare against 2020 alternate electors (case thrown out; coordinated with a far-left group and vowed to try again) ⚠️ Threatening local officials who questioned election processes 🔫 Suggesting lethal force against ICE agents (drew a legislative censure) 🏢 Trying to control the Corporation Commission (overriding and litigating against them) 💰 Handing no-bid contracts to political cronies What she wasn’t doing: 🚫 Stopping the fentanyl crisis — Arizona overdose deaths hit a record high in 2025 (nearly double the national rate) while the rest of the country declined 📜 Defending Arizona’s own laws on girls’ sports, abortion, and elections (Warren Petersen had to step in as the “de facto AG”) 🔍 Investigating open meeting law complaints — quietly closed nearly 100 without looking into them 👥 Holding allies accountable (cleared Gov. Hobbs in a pay-to-play probe) 🛡️ Putting public safety and state priorities over national political fights

UPDATE: Court orders full revert to pre-Hobbs water rules for housing. Katie Hobbs says she’s running to secure our water future and lower costs. Instead, her administration illegally rewrote the rules, froze new homes, spiked prices, and got slapped down by the court. She also vetoed Republican bills that would have added water supply and restored lawful development pathways. The result: Arizona taxpayers now face Prop 207 claims that could total hundreds of millions to over $1 billion. Campaign slogans don’t fix the damage she caused. As Chairman of the House Education Committee, I passed the most comprehensive school safety legislation in decades and expanded access to educational services for children with special needs. I’m a former teacher and school board member, and I know how important it is to put our students FIRST! I’d be honored to have your vote on or before Nov. 3rd. MattGress.com

REMINDER: Your ballot is about more than just the names at the top. You’re deciding the direction of the state for years to come. 👉 Whether families keep more of what they earn or face higher costs on groceries and driving. 👉 Whether government can track and tax every mile you travel or you protect your freedom to move. 👉 Whether taxpayer dollars go toward real results and classrooms or stay buried in bureaucracy and excuses. 👉 Whether election rules prioritize integrity, ID, and faster results or leave the door open to more delays and outside influence. 👉 Whether girls’ sports and private spaces stay fair and safe, or ideology overrides basic biology. 👉 Whether Arizona prioritizes individual freedom and transparency or expands government power and preferential treatment. These decisions don’t end on Election Day. Their consequences last for generations. Know before you vote: azballot.org/

🚨 Tempe wants to raise your taxes. With families already facing higher costs, Tempe officials are asking voters to approve another sales tax increase. Prop 424 would raise Tempe’s city sales tax from 1.8% to 2.3%. City officials say the additional revenue would fund public safety, transit, and preschool programs. But critics are raising serious questions about spending priorities, fiscal accountability, and whether taxpayers should be asked to pay more. Shouldn't City Hall have to answer for its spending before asking residents for another dime? Tempe voters will have the final say on November 3. Read the full article: azfree.org/blog/2026/10/20/v…

Arizona’s investments should deliver returns, not advance a political agenda. @NortonforAZ Elijah Norton, candidate for Arizona State Treasurer, sat down with @ScotMussi to discuss ESG, DEI, and the principles that should guide how Arizona invests taxpayer dollars. Norton’s approach puts merit first: invest in companies that hire based on ability and performance and prioritize the best returns for Arizonans. Taxpayer dollars demand results, not racial quotas.
