Most of you know this story, but none of you have heard it from me.
Back in September 2018, Femi Hamzat wanted to be Governor of Lagos State. He had thirteen years of public service under Asiwaju and BRF, with the record and backing to win. Then party leaders asked him to step aside for me.
It takes a rare man to put down what he wants without nursing a grudge. Femi shook my hand and five weeks later, agreed to run beside me. I have never forgotten that.
Anyone can read a CV but only the person in the room with a man when the cameras leave can tell you who he really is. For 2,711 days, I have been in that room with him.
When COVID-19 hit, when we faced our hardest weeks, when the Blue and Red Lines ran and when the Lekki Deep Sea Port opened, Femi was there. Long before any ribbon was cut, he was asking the tough questions an engineer asks.
In many states, deputies are kept in reserve. On day one, Femi promised to be the best deputy governor in Lagos history. He kept his word. In seven years, there has not been a single day I wondered whose side he was on. We have had one government, one direction, and one voice.
Lagos runs on a relay system. The baton is never passed to a runner standing still. You run at full speed inside the exchange zone, together, before the pass. That is how Lagos has been governed for 27 years, from Asiwaju to BRF, to Ambode, to me.
Femi is a deputy governor like no other. He built the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge under Fashola, digitized government under Asiwaju and holds a doctorate in engineering. His father served Lateef Jakande. This is in his blood.
Critics say Lagos keeps choosing from the same pool. I say Lagos trains its people. With major projects underway and a master plan stretching to 2052, this is not the time to experiment. What Femi presents today is not a campaign promise cooked up on a bus, it is the next leg of a race we have been running since 1999.
Lagos does not hand the baton to a man standing still. Today, you have seen the man who is already running. Let us move forward together with The Lagos PROMISE.
Perfect!

ADC postpones presidential campaign flag-off - News
There is paucity of fund.
That is the truth.
But that does not mean that they will still not organize rallies in some states.
The first set of opposition governors who APC wooed were the south south governors.
They brought in the governor of Akwa Ibom.
That’s one of the five states with the highest FAAC allocation.
They brought on board the governor of Delta state.
Delta state is also among the top five.
They brought on board the governor of Rivers state.
Rivers is one of the top five.
They brought on board the governor of Bayelsa state.
Bayelsa is number four on the FAAC allocation ladder.
Kano is outside the top five but it is the sixth.
Kano is APC.
Lagos is number one.
Lagos is APC.
Oyo, Imo, Borno and Ondo states complete the top ten list.
Diri Duoye of Bayelsa state who became governor on Feb 2020 might have been considered Atiku’s running mate but before anyone could think of that, Tinubu had invited him to the APC.
And no governor appreciates the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway like him.
Atiku is owing ADC party staff their salaries.
Atiku will not be able to run an effective presidential campaign.
The biggest recent thi+ef from Kebbi state can not release fund anyhow. He is being carefully watched and he does not have immunity.
The real big businessmen in the country are all happy that they can now source for dollars without knowing anyone at CBN.
They don’t also want the country to be put to reverse gear by way of reintroducing the economic cancer called fuel subsidy.
Seriaki Dickson said that it is not by wearing suits. He asked if they know the role governors play in campaign. He was a two term governor.
Everything is against Atiku.
They won’t be able to pay party agents.
Their social media choristers do not understand why Tinubu is called the Master Strategist.
The best Atiku has resorted to is press conference.
That does not cost much.
The press conference he has held since he hij+acked the ADC is more than the total number of press conferences he held in all his past six failed attempts to be president and he is just starting.
I think that the man is cutting his clothe according to the quantity of the material he has not according to his size.
He should also sustain his sponsorship of zanga-zanga urchins to destroy Tinubu’s posters in north west and north east and record it and post it.
That will also cost him less or how much does a street urchin need to tear posters?
In the immediate past presidential election, even some appointees of President Buhari supported his campaign with kudi but that is not going to happen under this government.
In the 2024 presidential election in the United States, Democrats spent about $6.7 billion, Republicans spent about $7.6 billion, and third-party candidates, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., spent a little more than $500 million.
It is not as expensive as that here but it is also not cheap and Atiku, being a perennial runner is very much aware of that.
The strategy to woo south south governors to the APC before crossing over to south east and the north was not only to get more votes but to cripple Kachalla long before the game kicked off.
Now, he is crippled.

Congratulations to the doer, go do more.
God bless you. 🙏
When I was appointed Director, Consumer Protection and Public Affairs at the NCAA, I vowed to do the job, not just to the best of my abilities, but over and beyond. I wanted to be one of the bright spots of this administration in order to repay the good faith and belief shown me by Mr. President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and my Honourable Minister, Olorogun Festus Keyamo SAN.
Since then, I have worked tirelessly and sleeplessly to protect the rights of air passengers, airlines, other stakeholders, and to project the image of the NCAA. I daresay that, so far, we have done a great job.
It is therefore a privilege and additional honour to learn of my appointment as Secretary, Air Transport Directorate in the Presidential Campaign Council of the ruling party, APC.
This is an assignment I will carry out like every other one; to the best of my abilities. It will be easy, because aviation has been one of the most impressive components of Mr. President's administration, and its success is driven by my minister alongside heavyweights like the directorate's deputy directors; the MD FAAN, and MD NAMA.
We are proud to campaign on the strength of our individual and collective performances and successes. Our airports have gotten better. Our international rating has improved exponentially. The rights of our passengers are now more protected than ever before. And etc.
I will campaign with firmness and certainty because we have earned the right. We are, ourselves, manifestations of what this government can do, and has done right.
God bless Mr. President.
God bless all Nigerians.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
