we will start to see E=mc² discovers monthly, then weekly, then daily, then singularity.
Announcing three major scientific discoveries, one each in mathematics (harmonic analysis), computer science (complexity theory), and physics (quantum field theory). AI starting to help us improve our understanding of the universe! openai.com/index/building-sc…

this is most likely the answer to the fermi paradox > Kessler syndrome hypothesis “blowing up Starlink satellites would create a domino effect of destruction that would generate a field of debris making space unusable”

when i talk to ppl outside of my AI bubble they can clearly see how AI will replace jobs in their company. BUT the person i’m talking to always thinks their specific role is safe because it’s too difficult for AI.

if it can be hacked it will be hacked
During this red-teaming exercise, we also found a vulnerability that allows for unauthenticated remote code execution in Brotli, a widely-deployed compression library included in many pieces of software such as Node.js, Bun, and Envoy. The flaw could let an attacker run their own code on affected systems by sending or replying with malicious compressed data, without any need to create a user account. That is, an unpatched server that accepts compressed input could be taken over by a malicious client, and an unpatched client that accepts compressed input (such as “curl --compressed”) could be taken over by a malicious server. This root cause issue was actually fixed in the Brotli source code in February, but it wasn’t known at the time that it gave rise to a security vulnerability and there was no more recent release of Brotli. Since Brotli is built into other software, any software which includes this library needs to take the update too, followed by the users of that software. We disclosed the vulnerability to Brotli and other downstream projects such as Node.js, which released or are currently releasing security updates, and Brotli cut new release versions and published a CVE. More details on the patch and mitigations below: patchtheplanet.org/brotli

“everything will get solved when demand is high”
CEO of Nvidia, Jensen Huang, on the business model of neoclouds and the possibility of bailing them out: "Number one, we invested in them. That's different than backing them. We invested in them because we think it's a good investment. I can prove it. The reason for that is because all of the neoclouds, their demands are incredible. The demand of their compute is incredible. They have contracts from large companies, small companies. They are completely sold out." "Needing to secure more land, power, shell. Needing to secure more compute, which is therefore, needing more capital, more working capital.' "They need working capital. Because the demand for capital is so high, interest rates are starting to go up. Remember, it is because demand for capital is so high. Why is demand for capital so high? Because the demand for AI is so high. That's what's driving it." "Everything else will get solved when demand is high." Via @BloombergTV $NVDA $IREN $NBIS $CRWV

sharing how I think about p(doom) say each model could be used as a potential weapon. musket to unimaginable. at some point a ‘system prompt’ telling it not to use its weapons or not to allow other humans to use its weapons is not good enough. it needs to be intelligent enough to decide on its own.

I have accepted that I am basically a Human-to-Super Intelligence meat proxy. I'm finding a lot of CEOs/Execs still can't use LLMs for meaningful work. Either they are "too busy" or lack the skills to utilize platforms (connectors/plugins/mcps) and it's easier to have a meat proxy do it.
