We are changing our application process and instead of accepting requests for account registrations on only the 1st and 15th of each month, baraag will now allow the submission of applications all year long.
You must provide link examples of art you have drawn yourself or the application will be rejected. Creators of AI generated content or content that appear too realistic in rendering style will also be rejected.
A full network rebuild has been completed but the server is still experiencing some degradation and routing issues while our team is working to bring all aspects of the network back online. Please bear with us as baraag may intermittently go back and forth between being online and offline until we can restore network stability.

People debate whether AI will ever be able to create good art. The answer is no. It’s impossible. If AI progresses exponentially for 100 years it still won’t be able to create any art, even bad art. That’s because art by definition is an expression of the human heart. It’s a language that can only be spoken or understood by beings with rational souls. AI can create spectacle. It can create distraction. In that sense it can create “entertainment” in its cheapest and most worthless form. But you can only confuse the machine’s soulless bullshit with art if you have made yourself nearly as numb and soulless as the machine itself.
I realize most people generally click "Accept" without ever actually reading the ToS. But when people apply for an account on baraag, the Accept button is right below rules # 7 & 8 that redundantly states you *must* provide link examples of your art. It is quite frustrating that more than 75% of applications submitted do not include any link examples.

Big platforms are almost always run as a business first and foremost. They will ultimately comply if it hits their bottom line. With baraag, there is no monetization of its users by offering premium features or by selling their private data. There is no ad revenue. It is hosted purely out of passion for freedom of expression in fictional art and the support from its community.
There is a misconception that baraag is only for a certain type of content. But the truth is that this reputation is simply a consequence of growing censorship on mainstream platforms, artists taking refuge because they have no where else to go. With regular adult content now being targeted by censors, baraag continues to stand with all fictional content creators as it always has.
When applying for an account on baraag as an artist on the 1st & 15th of each month, please provide links to your work. This helps move the approval process along faster.
Not providing links and just saying “I am an artist” will result in the registered account getting frozen, requiring that you appeal with art examples before you can join.
