I want to give a SPECIAL MENTION to @MatthewMCSmith who has contributed so many wonderful poems since he initiated #fragmentsfriday but as host has never given himself a placing.
So here is a top tier spot for your brilliant #poetry, with huge thanks, too, for all you do for us.

Helen Laycock DOES like it, Jide!
Such a wonderful sense of movement and communion between nature, echoing beautifully the opening quote.
Love the ‘arms of glee’.
For my #fragmentsfriday this week, after a long absence, I'm sharing a work in progress, "Reading Mary Oliver Like Scripture".
Hope @helen_laycock likes it.

Replying to @TheAtlantic @vauhinivara
It is not difficult to prove a writer used AI or not. Anyone who has done the difficult work without use of AI will have evidence - scrap books, drafts, notes, mind maps, flowcharts, photos, videos, etc. The fact that little to no effort is used by publications like The Atlantic to verify these and other claims is telling. Anyone who is accused thus can have a goldmine of evidence to produce in a rebuttal.

There is always taste when it comes to poetry. Most poets seem to have been pretty venomous when they didn’t like or understand the work of others. Men who imagine they are dealing in big ideas and profundity have often been dismissive of poems about the quotidian.

Poetry is how I remember what I felt before I had the language for it.

We still publish fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and visual art at Libretto. We're currently accepting submissions for Issue 16.
There was a time—between 2019 and 2021—when every literary magazine on this list was publishing fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and visual art regularly.
Now, alas.
