We’re waiting to hear from Saratoga Springs police with the latest on the arrest of the 16-year-old boy in the murder case of Jessica Lyman and Eli Painter.
The two were found shot in the head in their Saratoga Springs home March 2025.

Peter Michael Larsen, 48, wanted to decapitate and eat the heart of a 37-year-old kiosk worker at Valley Fair Mall on Monday because he was Muslim, according to SLC DA Sim Gill, who says Larsen stabbed the victim more than a dozen times. He now faces aggravated murder charges.

A grass fire is burning 50 acres along the hillside behind the University of Utah hospital. It sparked about an hour ago. Air assets assisting crews on scene. No structures threatened at the moment, according to Salt Lake City Fire Department.
UPDATE: Fire now burning 200 acres. Sprinklers keeping vegetation wet in front of the Hunstman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah, as flames are visible several hundred yards away along the hillside.

HAPPENING NOW: Groundwater is surfacing on the street in front of the power pole where a 16-year-old was electrocuted Monday night in Fruit Heights. The teen later died at a nearby hospital. Crews were working in the area prior to the water appearing.
