Ai, DeFi and Intents with @ApertureFinance
Intents in DeFi
Intents are user expressions for achieving specific goals on-chain, simplifying complex transactions like trades, and managing liquidity. By abstracting these operations, intents make DeFi more accessible. The main goal is to streamline on-chain interactions, reducing user friction and enabling users to specify their desired outcomes more easily.
Examples of general-purpose intent protocols:
- @anoma
- @intentessential
- Flashbots SUAVE
Intents + AI
The integration of AI, especially large language models like ChatGPT, can interpret natural language inputs, allowing users to communicate their goals more intuitively to the protocol and Solvers. This combination of AI and intents can automate complex, multistep DeFi operations, reduce MEV, save on gas, and more by leveraging intent Solver networks.
Aperture Finance and Intent DSL
Aperture Finance is known for its liquidity management platform, which allows users who deploy liquidity on DEX, like Uniswap, to manage their positions effectively. Aperture aims to leverage AI-powered intents to simplify the liquidity provision process. By using a proprietary Domain-Specific Language (DSL), users can articulate their financial goals in natural language, which are then processed and executed by a network of Solvers.
Looking Forward
As digital asset adoption continues to grow, continuous innovation in AI will guide users in formulating better, more precise intents. The integration of AI with user intents allows for significant UX improvements and valuable data collection, further optimizing DeFi protocols.
In the future, crypto could be abstracted down to a single seamless, user-friendly interface where the desired fulfillment of outcomes is expressed in natural language, simplifying complex transaction operations that are delegated to be executed by a competitive network of Solvers whose integrity is maintained through cryptographic measures.

Hamas crypto funding, the WSJ, and the Warren Letter | Medium
We've had 90 submissions to my WSJ fact-checking bounty. 30 have been paid out. Based on all the evidence so far, here's what we know:

so just to recap
- WSJ journalists (Angus Berwick & Ian Talley) write a flurry of articles citing Elliptic data claiming that PIJ (Hamas affiliate) raised $93m in crypto (and cites BitOK claiming Hamas raised $41m) [1]
- Sen Warren uses this article to claim that Hamas raised "over $130m" in crypto. This article is her SOLE citation in her letter. The entire letter depends on the WSJ article [2]
- Over 100 member of Congress sign the letter, which asks for the Biden admin to further crack down on crypto
- Chainalysis comes out with an article disputing the WSJ claims, saying that instead of $82m of terror financing, the real figure is around $450k. It's unclear which wallets they are referring to. Either way, it looks like the WSJ analysis is vastly overstated [3]
- WSJ refuses to follow up or retract, instead writing more articles relying on their claims

So Uniswap wants to take down my Uniswap v4 fork from GitHub, which I used to open my famous PR to change their License to "AGPL-3.0-only". Are you for real @Uniswap? What kind of pathetic move is this from a party that can only play copycat nowadays?github.com/Uniswap/v4-core/p…

Making backroom regulatory deals with bad actors is not a tool in the SEC’s toolbox.
