And it gets even better... “Our forecast expects the underdog to win with these odds once in about 26 elections. The last time an underdog won with similar odds was 1952,” wrote the researchers. Democrats need 218 seats in the House to wrest control of the chamber from the mindless MAGA cultists who have been rubber-stamping Trump's destructive agenda. This forecast projects that we'll end up with 242. According to the model, Republicans maintaining control of the House after today's votes are tallied is about as "likely as rolling a 20 on a twenty-sided die.” When it comes to the Senate, Democrats need a simple majority of 51 seats to take control. The Harvard projection is predicting 53 blue seats. It cannot be overstated just how important it is to the future of this country that Democrats score a resounding victory today. If we take Congress, we'll have subpoena power to uncover the historic, flagrant crime spree that Trump and his cronies have been engaged in over the last two years. We'll be able to pull back the hood on the failed Iran War, and uncover exactly why these awful decisions were made, and by whom. We'll be able to finally get the remaining Epstein documents, free from the illegal redactions that the Trump-controlled Justice Department slapped on them. Perhaps most importantly, a blue wave will be the death knell for the MAGA movement.
