You can do BRC-20 without taproot.
Stop blaming taproot for this. People have been able to easily publish arbitrary data even before segwit.
Hell, the _purpose_ of the recent BRC-20 mint doesn't even need data publication. It could be done w/ uncensorable perfectly normal txs.
