Proof generation is asynchronous and off the critical path, so long inference jobs don’t delay blocks. Provers can parallelize across cores or even multiple machines
4/
To avoid re-executing computations on-chain, Ritual relies on succinct proofs. Validators only verify proofs — they never redo the underlying compute
3/
Instead, execution happens off-chain on designated compute nodes, in an optimized environment tailored for long-running ML workloads
2/
These inference operations can take minutes or even hours. Running them on-chain across all validators would stall block production and cripple network liveness

Ritual adopts an Execute-Once model for inference-heavy SPC opcodes, avoiding the massive overhead of synchronous, replicated execution inside the EVM

Incredible vibes last week! The builders’ spirit in the room was something else. On-chain AI is just getting started
圆满结束!
Last week, we hosted our first chinese community event. It was incredible to see a packed room of builders, researchers, and top students from Zhejiang University, all focused on the next frontier: on-chain AI.
The ambition to build more intelligent and autonomous systems is undeniable. The only missing piece has been the tools.
.@ritualfnd is pushing on-chain AI forward with Symphony — a consensus model where specialized nodes execute workloads once and the network verifies them many times
Efficient, scalable, and built for real heterogeneous compute
Ritual introduces Symphony, a consensus protocol built for heterogeneous, resource-heavy computation
Traditional blockchains rely on full replicated execution, forcing every node to re-run every workload.

Another area of research is posted-price mechanisms, which could bring a more intuitive experience for users—similar to how Uber provides clear, upfront pricing.
4/
Looking ahead, Ritual plans to extend Resonance to support several powerful capabilities.
Scheduled transactions will become natively priced, enabling cost-efficient on-chain agents.
The auctioneer layer will open up so anyone can run it.
3/
Because Resonance is designed around predictable incentives, brokers cannot distort or manipulate the process.
The mechanism enforces fair, reliable behavior—something that today’s block-building markets do not always guarantee.
2/
Their role is conceptually similar to block builders or MEV searchers, but expanded.
They evaluate transaction value, assess node costs, and capture the margin created by matching the two efficiently.
1/ @ritualnet Resonance mechanism introduces a new participant in the transaction lifecycle: the broker. Brokers are informed, profit-driven agents tasked with finding the most efficient pairing between transactions and execution nodes.
5/ The outcome:
A mechanism where users, nodes, and the network all benefit by acting truthfully — enabling a scalable, efficient, compute-agnostic blockchain ecosystem
4/ For the network:
– Efficient matching optimizes both cost and speed
– Node capacity is allocated optimally
– Full user preference support
– Symphony allows specialization across network segments
