It is regrettable that South African policies led to the termination of AGOA for South Africa. This was a predictable and preventable outcome resulting from the rejection by South Africa's government of real concerns raised by the U.S. Government. I remain hopeful that we can find a path forward to address our larger bilateral concerns, but the South African government must understand the gravity of the situation. We know that if America succeeds, so too will South Africa. This is the partnership I will continue to pursue as expeditiously as possible. ustr.gov/about/policy-office…

Sorry I’m late for the meeting. There was a lot of climate change on the road.

Johannesburg is in ruins and senior ANC leaders want to spend their time on here going after me for daring to ask people to “vote wisely”. That tells you everything you need to know about how we got here.

If the hat fits... Sounds like you're agreeing the blame lies with your party! And, by the way, journalists are not required to be neutral, nor should they be. They are required to meet standards of fairness and accuracy. Judgement is part of the job, as @karynmaughan knows.

News24 Sunday reports that Zolani Xego, a former ANC Buffalo City branch chair, who staged his own death in 2017 in an elaborate R3.6 million insurance scam, is running as a ward councillor candidate for the UDM.

South Africa’s series win over Australia in Cape Town meant that they are only the second side after India in 2001 to come back from 1-0 down to win a three-match series against Australia since the 1880’s. #cricketcounts
