Your team ships more than ever with AI agents. And yet: – output piles up faster than anyone can read – last week's decision is already lost in a call recording – your tools decide how you work, not you Sound familiar? We built the Coasys app for exactly this: one shared brain your team shapes together. Built on @ad4m_layer 👇

I once said as a cool reply to someone commenting me complaining about something on twitter, asking me "which country did this happen in", and I said "there are no more countries, good luck". I mean that quite seriously. Not because there is an alleged evil one world government conspiracy that has evilly taken over each country, or even that everyone is becoming quasi American "globo mono culture", but, that there are no more countries, nations, in the sense that we use the term historically, because the social order has completely imploded, and no one today feels or thinks or experiences life in a way that makes the same word category, make sense. Even the most ardent nationalist is a Person, an Individual, before he is an American, and Englishman, a German, or anything else. Our language, terminology, is behind the times. We use these terms because they are handed down to us and we don't yet have any better ones - "well we shall make do until we find a better word". Our life experience is fundamentally different from that of every other era, because our life environment is radically different, because of technology and media. Where a frenchman in 1500 might have been a frenchman, today, he is a Facebook user, before he is French. To put it vulgarly, bluntly, to a sharp point. Kings, and prime ministers, do not wield power and are not sovereign, because they are not the kings of our Environment. The closest you get is people you don't know the name of and wouldn't recognise if you heard it, business and money and technology people. And even then it's only a vague comparison, exactly because they don't want to be known and recognised as powers. The game is fundamentally different, it's only to illustrate a point. The point is that liberalism won, and it won a long time ago, and even the world wars were just playing it out, it's just a matter of how many victims it's gonna claim. You can't put the cat back in the bag, you have been Individualised, individuated. And there is no going back. western thought inhereted the word politics from the Greeks, and it doesn't matter what you think about etymology, if you don't contend with etymology, then you don't know what you think. And politics is the Greek notion that the city is like the human soul, the philosophy of politics is to the city what the philosophy of ethics is to the man. That is, it rests on an assumption, a belief and an experience of life. That the city is man scaled up, that the city is human. The nation is a person. We no longer believe this, and as such it is nonsense to keep talking about politics. The greeks had politics, because they had a political experience. You do not, because you own a smartphone. You have a TECHNICAL experience. You are alone, and you are an individual, and you are looking at your phone right now. Our philosophy and language is an ongoing project of coming to terms with our, lack of a better term, evolutionary environment. The ancients had a primarily social environment. You have a primarily technological environment. Our language is coming to terms with our environment. Our environment has changed more radically in the past 100 years than in the rest of recorded history. The ancients had political opinions, you have ethical opinions.
The singularity happened 250 years ago, anyone who talks about it as a future or present concern are not serious contenders or helpful to the task at hand. It's been the post apocalypse for a long time and your job is not to panic or prepare or survive, but to build civilization from scraps. The dream of liberalism is that every man be a king, and it has been long achieved. This was also the state of man in nature, before civilization. We are at the stage in the cycle where kings begin to unite through marriages and oaths into nations. It's been a world of 9 billion micro-nations, every man is an island. Now some are starting to conquer and some are starting to unite in other ways, and the 9 billion micronations will form into 1 billion slightly less Micro-nations, and so on and so on. Technology and Peter tiel and globalism is not the end times, it's not the antichrist. You're not in the revelation, you are walking in the desert out of Egypt. You haven't even made it out of Egypt yet

The best, most comprehensive take on AI I’ve read. After a year of confusion and fear about the future, I finished it feeling like a weight had physically lifted. It’s long. Make the time. @vgr is undefeated. contraptions.venkateshrao.co…

I spent 35 years building banking systems for banks worldwide, including central banks. I know how banks decide where their money goes. When you build systems, you have to make them work, so you have to know how they work. The Basel Committee de-industrialised the countries that adopted its rules. It's that simple: I explain the whole complicated mechanism in my essay. They simply regulated it away because that was the most profitable thing to do. It was implemented in such a systemic global way, and nobody seemed to notice Capital is what a bank must hold before it can lend, the way a manufacturer or miner must hold supplies before it can sell. No miner doubles their costs to serve one group of customers. But that's what the banking system does to miners and manufacturers. Since 1988, the Basel rules have required banks to hold twice the capital against a factory loan as against a home loan, and under Basel III the gap reaches five times. So banks lend less to industry and more against houses. It should be stopped tomorrow. Manufacturing's share of GDP fell in ten of the eleven countries I examined. In Australia it fell from 13.7% to 5.4%. Every other country that followed fell as well. The only truly crafty ones were the Koreans, who did a good job of offsetting it. Regulators were warned in writing that the rule would steer credit, and they adopted it anyway. No parliament voted for it, and it's simply too dumb to keep doing, but we do . Not today; there is no justification. Yet from India, across Europe, across the US, including Australia, sanctions against industrial capacity. Financialization has gone too far it needs to be reviewed . The charge is manslaughter by gross negligence. The mechanism is proven. Same Rules, Different Ruins:ctindale.substack.com/p/same…

I asked my Topic Radar bot for an AI agents digest (run Oct 14). It returned 4 news stories and 1 X post, all linked: Hassabis on agent hacks, the EU's first AI Act enforcement steps, a 400+ scientist letter, and the UK AISI test results. Real run, public sources. Template in reply.
