To be fair they only have 17 winning seasons all time.

It’s kind of like being in a relationship with someone who makes you miserable and unhappy but you stay because you still love them and keep praying they’ll figure it out eventually when the reality of the situation says differently.

Falcons have made the playoffs 15 times in 59 seasons. Not a great track record. 17 winning seasons. 42 seasons at .500 or below. It’s what they do.

Falcons have played since 1966. They have 17 total winning seasons in their history. They’ve made the playoffs 15 times total in their history. If you’re going to remain a fan of the Falcons you’d better get used to being perpetually disappointed in every way imaginable.

They’d be 7-10 instead of 8-9.

I believe the NFL had a somewhat similar issue with the Jets and Giants in 85 when there was only one wild card game in each conference. The Jets played Saturday. Giants played Sunday.
