The UK's verdict on 14 years of Conservative rule – not good enough; too many scandals, public services not working, and little hope that matters would improve. @SWilliamson_CEO urges the new Labour government to invest in education: ow.ly/RMrb50SvKHj #ChangeBeginsNow

So to clarify. We now have 27k more teachers since 2010 and more then 1m more pupils. That’s a class size average of 37 per teacher for that extra million. Still more work to do on training and recruitment then?
🎉 New data shows that there's a record number of teachers in England’s schools - 468,371! This is an increase of 2,800 compared to last year, and over 27,000 more teachers than in 2010. 👏🙌

It’s called the World Cup not the Qatari cup. No other host has ever inflicted their views on participants or spectators the way your country has. Respecting your values doesn’t mean we have to lose ours!
As a Qatari I’m proud of what happened. I don’t know when will the westerners realize that their values aren’t universal. There are other cultures with different values that should be equally respected. Let’s not forget that the West is not the spokesperson for humanity.

As a fully-jabbed 70 something currently laid low by the Delta variant all I can suggest is that you pay this thread serious attention. If I hadn't, I'd be dead!
SARS-CoV-2 variants technical briefing 21 was published today. Hospitalisation and death rates are shown for people aged 50 plus with the Delta variant, split by vaccination status. These rates are 11 times higher among the unvaccinated than in the fully vaccinated 1/3

By chance, we started tracking teacher work-related anxiety in 2019. It means we now have a full year of data, covering how anxiety changed during the pandemic. Quite an astonishing set of data - and shows the outsized impact on headteachers. @TeacherTapp

So two of the key players who’ve helped create the brexit mess on a platform of lies and deceit have bailed out. Good riddance! Surely it’s now time to rethink this whole thing - people are losing jobs over this madness!
