🆘🆘 SASHA (ID 222083), 9 YO, FEMALE – IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an agency on 9/5/2026. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 10/31/26 ➡️ SENIOR ALERT ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️ 🆘🆘 3RD Chance on Emergency Placement List – NO ROOM IN SHELTER – WILL NOT BE GIVEN MUCH MORE TIME – VERY HIGH EU/SILENT KILL RISK– 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 55 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ SASHA IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS -She is not thriving in the care center and continues to display challenging behavior during interactions. She is extremely intelligent and high energy, and needs to expend energy constructively with interactive play sessions 3-4X/day. In addition to playtime, this cat would also benefit from mental exercise from activities such as puzzle toys/games, lick mats, or clicker training. Without providing activity for her mind and body, the cat may react with rough play, potentially resulting in bite/scratch incidents. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children. I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am. I am looking for a home with a patient person. I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace. I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home. Sasha tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. 🆘🆘 LOLA JEWEL (ID 267270), 1 YO, FEMALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 10/4/2026, with the surrender reason stated as animal health - will need ongoing vet care. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 10/31/26 ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️ 🆘🆘 3RD Chance on Emergency Placement List – NO ROOM IN SHELTER – WILL NOT BE GIVEN MUCH MORE TIME – VERY HIGH EU/SILENT KILL RISK– 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 26 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ LOLA JEWEL IS ON THE EPL FOR MEDICAL REASONS - Lola Jewel came to the shelter with a history of seizures. She had never been on medication and it was reported her seizures were brief. She has started on medication for seizures, but has had 2 brief seizure episodes so far. She would likely benefit from different medications to control her seizures and from more individualized care. She is a sweet girl who has been taking her current medication with ease. Lola Jewel also has a mild upper respiratory infection. Behaviorally, Lola Jewel tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. Her former owner reports Lola Jewel is a friendly, affectionate, active, playful, and lap cat. This evaluation/diagnosis means that LOLA JEWEL will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 A volunteer writes: Lola Jewel, a lovely one year old gal was brought to us as her family could not afford and handle her care anymore. She experienced seizures since early kittenhood and is on a medication to prevent more of them. She was observed in our medical room and has been seizure-free since admission. Lola Jewel is known to be a friendly, affectionate and playful lap cat. She has been a little on the shy side while at the care center but being without her family and in a very different environment has been a shock to her. With some coaxing, she enjoys treats and petting, head bunting my hand and even purring. Lola Jewel absolutely loves playing with a feather wand and that gets her to forget all her "worries". Lola Jewel would love to be home again, rather a quiet one that will balance peace and fun. Our adoption counselors will discuss with you the treatment plan to deal with Lola Jewel's seizure history. The little gal is so worth your attention...Ask to meet her, fall in love and take her home.... What my friends at ACC say about me: I lived with children in my previous home. I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am. I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace. I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.
