The Ray Peat movement is one of the biggest health movements on social media, but here is the thing: Even if you know nothing about Ray Peat, attributing your diet to Ray Peat makes you healthier. WHY DO YOU EAT SUGAR? Ray Peat said it makes me healthier. WHY DO YOU DRINK COKE? Ray Peat said it’s healthy. And @DejaRu22 said it makes your balls bigger. Can’t deny that. PLACEBO WORKS EVEN IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE IN IT. But you may not believe in the validity of the assumption. If it comes from the right source, your mind will unconsciously accept it because it accepts that source as an authority. AUTHORITY BYPASSES THE CONSCIOUS MIND. For example, if you went to the doctor and he told you that you have two weeks to live, your body and nervous system would immediately be impacted by the shock. But if your friend told you that you’re dying in the next two weeks, you wouldn’t be affected by it at all. Donald Trump drinks a ton of Diet Coke. WELL, COKE MAKES YOU RICHER. Warren Buffett eats a ton of fast food and sugar. Eating fast food is healthy for your pocket. The reason for doing this is to AMPLIFY the impact of the food on your body by using your mind. This does not mean you shouldn’t have a healthy diet. But even with the perfect diet, you will have days when you eat something outside of that perfect baseline, and you will start attaching shame and guilt to it. It will make you sick. But if you attribute something positive to it, it will have less impact on you because you will believe it’s benefiting you. RAY PEAT TOLD ME SO.
