🚨BREAKING: Crypto Trader Loses $70.5 Million in Address Poisoning Scam
A crypto trader lost 1,155 Wrapped Bitcoin $WBTC, valued at $70.5 million, in an address poisoning scam. Blockchain security firm Cyvers Alert flagged this incident as potentially the highest value lost to such a scam.

What is Address Poisoning?
Address poisoning is a tactic used by scammers to deceive crypto traders. The scam involves creating a fake address that closely resembles the target's address, using identical starting and ending characters. The scammers then transfer a small amount of cryptocurrency from the fake address to the target's wallet, contaminating the transaction history. When the victim later copies the address from the transaction log, they accidentally send their funds to the scammer's wallet.
This tactic has become more prevalent, with former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao highlighting a similar incident. He warned that scammers are now creating addresses with the same starting and ending letters, which many users mistakenly rely on when verifying addresses. Some wallets even hide the middle part of the address, making it easier for scammers to deceive users.

但是有一说一，想都了解清楚是需要研究及实践能力的，对于大多数玩家来说，我推荐你用浏览器钱包安全扩展，如 @realScamSniffer @PocketUniverseZ @wallet_guard 等，选择适合自己的。如果是手机环境，建议搭配 @Rabby_io 当然电脑环境浏览器安装 Rabby 扩展也是很好的选择，搭配硬件钱包如 @KeystoneWallet @OneKeyHQ @imKeyOfficial 或知名的手机钱包（最好用 iPhone，并且下载到正确的钱包 App），Rabby 用户交互安全做得很好，把它当作“防火墙”用不错。
还有很多优秀组合，如 @TokenPocket_TP + @KeyPalWallet ，@MetaMask + @KeystoneWallet 等等，各位举一反三即可，核心思路就是“防火墙”思路，你的钱包太值钱了，增加一个“防火墙”你说重要不重要？
