Ingestion of copium now at a cosmic levels
There's lots of discussion about a16z dropping the word 'crypto'. It's actually a sign of crypto winning. It's outgrown being a standalone sector and now runs through global finance and frontier tech: payments, trading, tokenization, AiFi, and much more. We've spent more than a decade building this industry to make it useful everywhere, and we should welcome it escaping its own category. People used to say 'internet companies' - which is a prehistoric phrase now. Eventually, calling something a 'crypto company' should feel just as redundant. Many of us (including me) will keep the word. But the millions, and soon billions, using it every day won't care what we call it. They'll care what it lets them do.

Nonsense. You need subagents to to lower-model things like browser use, canaries, and other things that are unaffordable on frontier. Your main model MUST dispatch to them, or it will use up a weekly quota in a day.
原文:claude.com/resources/article…

deus ex in space?
I can finally talk about Mass Effect Universe. Since Bioware closed I can now reveal that I was part of the Mass Effect Council, saw what BioWare was building, and provided feedback during development. • Set 600+ years after the Reaper War • You play as a customizable N7 agent • Instead of being a walking gun rack, you're a cross between John Wick and James Bond • Shepard's legacy preserved, regardless of your ending • A galaxy divided into three major factions • Humanity, Krogan, Batarians, and more allied together • Council races forming their own alliance • The Geth emerging as a third superpower • A galactic Cold War instead of another Reaper style invasion with a shadowy adversary • Geth-built megastructures • Connections between the Milky Way and Andromeda • Experimental technology implanted in you as a unique point of difference • Hacking and manipulating the environment • See through walls, identify systems, remotely trigger hazards and more • Handcrafted missions like ME1-3 • But with Hitman-style freedom in how you complete them • Brutal close-range executions • Squadmates who can clash with each other • Romance wasn't being sanitised • Liara returns - now an incredibly powerful Asari Matriarch From what I saw, BioWare was making Mass Effect for us, the fans, not for people who don't exist. It looked incredible. And now we may never get to play it. Find out more here: youtu.be/ZOWrTNazZxM #SaveMassEffect

CFR (critical failure rate) is a % of tasks in AI assistants that fail to deliver the desired outcome to the user. At Lindy, it’s under 2%, aiming to be under 0.5% by EOY. At Grokbot, it’s 50%. This is me making a statement as a paying power user.

I like the crypto goodreads TG channel because it reminds me that crypto is just 20 larping clowns with 250 alts posting motivational but silently adversarial messages at each other, with 1000 aspiring "trenchers" watching and NPC-nodding their way through their "content". Keeps me happy I left, every single day.

I don't think they know what blockchains are "Just like every company has its own database, every company will have its own blockchain" The whole point of blockchains is trustless MULTI-PARTY tx. If everyone has their own blockchain, they're better off with DBs instead.

Brother in law works for municipal water. They have a single-admin password login UI that was last updated in 2004. This UI can be used to change chlorine levels in the state’s water supply. We are all deader than we think.

This makes me happy because I feel like the age of LAN gaming is about to come back
This has been obviously destined since Dario saw GPT-3 autocompleting a for-loop in python and was struck by a vision of our future. My guess is that this has barely started, and that Super Worms are coming. There's never been a better time to build an intranet for your people.

I thought it was another shitcoin closing its doors for a second. Shame. Bioware was great before the DEI-purple Karens got it. It could have been great again. I hope the (actual) devs from the studio go on and form something new and interesting.

Pls understand that unless you’re for some reason using shit indian certificates somewhere for some bizarre reason you’re probably ok. The people who actually have to do work are the operators of some ~30k garbage websites (mostly smaller or regional) who need to reissue, plus anyone running non-browser clients (old containers, certain language runtimes, IoT, unpatched Linux boxes, etc.) that still trust the root that this nukes. Basically no one of consequence is at any risk at all.
🚨Python friends, upgrade (or have your agent upgrade) every certifi package across all your projects and machines! uv self update uv lock --upgrade-package certifi Private keys from 8 intermediate CA certs have been compromised! xitter.cf/astuyve/status/2112559… Some other things to upgrade: * Go: 1.27.3 or 1.26.10, then rebuild your Go programs * rustls-webpki: 0.103.16 * webpki-roots / webpki-root-certs: 1.0.10 * Electron: 44.9.1, 43.8.1 or 42.11.16 * NSS: 3.131.1 * Firefox: 158.0.1 (ESR: 153.5.1 or 115.43.1) * Ubuntu ca-certificates: 20260816ubuntu0.<release>.1 (for 22.04, 24.04, 26.04 and 26.10) * Homebrew ca-certificates: 2026-09-25_1 * Chrome, Apple, Windows: nothing to do, they’re blocked automatically Still waiting for a fix: * Debian ca-certificates: disable the two roots by hand Node.js * Composer ca-bundle * macOS /usr/bin/curl: remove the two roots from /etc/ssl/cert.pem by hand
