I spent two years working with Stephen Miller. His appointment as White House chief of staff is among the most dangerous personnel decisions in the history of our republic. I say that without reservation.

Steven Miller's immigration policy has taken arguably the GOP's best issue and made it a liability. He, second only to Trump himself, is responsible for blowing up the multiracial coalition that elected Trump in 2024 and sparked the GOP's dream of a multiracial working class coalition. He's also probably the single most despised person in American politics. So of course, Trump appointed him Chief of Staff after getting humiliated at the polls. It's so perfect.

Excited to tell the story of my closing ad & my favorite of the campaign. @ArunChaud started coming to MS before the primary to help us understand organic digital campaigning and the vibes of MS. He returned several times. As we discussed our closing ad, he suggested we do something outside the Medgar home & pay homage to voting rights as the closing message, something he knew was of the upmost importance to me. He wrote a beautiful script & @RyanSayles_ again worked his magic on the camera. I’ll be eternally grateful for them.
Medgar Evers was killed in his driveway because he refused to accept a Mississippi where some were denied the right to vote. He stood with thousands who marched, organized and sacrificed so future generations could have a voice. We owe it to them not to take that right for granted. On Tuesday, honor their legacy. Vote.

I kept thinking I was reading this chart wrong. Hard to overstate how wild it is that turnout among young Latina women outpaced that of young white women in both TX & GA.
Latino turnout growth was driven by young voters, and young women in particular in GA & TX (where we have voter-file updates). While Latino participation still trailed white, young Latinas flipped that turnout gap and voted at higher rates than young white women. That’s bonkers!

Four years ago, Pres. Biden nominated Scott Colom to serve as a federal judge in Mississippi. Mississippi Republican Senator Roger Wicker supported the nomination of Mr. Colom. The state's other senator, Cindy Hyde-Smith, refused to do so based on absurd claims. Mr. Colom reached to Sen. Hyde-Smith to address her concerns and respectfully point out misunderstandings on her part and appeal to her better angels. Other prominent Mississippi Republicans reached out to Sen. Hyde-Smith asking her to reconsider and support Mr. Colom's nomination. She still refused, effectively killing his nomination for no good reason. She's now on the verge of losing her seat to Scott Colom, who would have never been a threat if she had supported his judicial nomination.

Another one I missed last night: Kansas AG Kris Kobach down by 11,000 votes. In 2020, Rs prodded Marshall into the Senate race out of fear that Kobach would win the nomination and blow it. And now they're both #OpenToWork nytimes.com/interactive/2026…

My friend @BaleDaltonFL needs your support to win in Florida’s 7th. Bale is a Navy veteran, former NASA Chief of Staff and inspiring leader in his hometown district. Please consider voting for him.
I spent the day traveling across Volusia County, meeting with neighbors from across the political spectrum. No matter your party, you deserve a representative who listens, shows up, and fights for you. That’s exactly the kind of leader I’ll be for Central Florida.

These missiles will not be delivered (if they get delivered at all) for "years". It is being said 2030 at the earliest. It is Trump reacting to all the terrible press for supporting Putin and will not make the slightest difference in the war. People need to be honest about it.
A strong decision by the U.S. State Department – authorizing Ukraine’s purchase of Patriot interceptors to counter Russian ballistic missiles. Five hundred PAC-3 interceptors is a substantial number, and very soon – this winter – they COULD make for a highly effective defense package. However, it has been stipulated that deliveries may begin ONLY IN A FEW YEARS. We are asking our American partners to find a solution for the time when there is a real danger and a real need to use PAC-3 interceptors. Right now, the Russians are attacking our energy infrastructure every single day. In just these past two weeks of October, there have already been more than 30 Russian strikes on critical parts of our power grid. It is right now, even before the beginning of winter, that Putin has started carrying out his operation to attack the systems that sustain life in our cities and communities. The targets are electricity, heating, water supplies, bridges, and life in our cities in general. We did ask our American partners to provide Ukraine with a winter support package – at a rate of 100 Patriot interceptors per month. Five hundred missiles would be enough to protect our skies over the coming months – precisely when it is so important for Ukraine to be in a strong position in negotiations and for Russia NOT to succeed in breaking life in Ukrainian cities and communities. The United States, our European partners, and other partners around the world have sufficient stocks of PAC-3 interceptors in their warehouses. Providing them to Ukraine right now – in the winter of 2026–2027 – and replenishing our partners’ arsenals LATER, in THE FOLLOWING YEARS, through this production already contracted and paid for by Ukraine and our partners would be the right approach. And it is entirely feasible. We are grateful to President Trump. Importantly, we recently discussed PAC-3 interceptors with Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Ukraine is grateful to the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Administration overall for granting this authorization. But we are asking for decisions that can guarantee the protection of lives not the day after tomorrow or sometime later, but at the very moment the threat is there – when Russia is killing and destroying. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine! state.gov/releases/bureau-of…

We have a loved one scheduled to be on this flight. He will be killed if he’s returned to the Taliban. He supported the US mission in Afghanistan. He has broken no laws. He came here legally. Seeking asylum should not be a death sentence.
Breaking News: The Trump administration has detained dozens of Afghan immigrants in Louisiana — including relatives of those who helped the U.S. military — and plans to deport them to Afghanistan, according to U.S. officials. nyti.ms/4jPVvrw

As turnout in Texas nears 3 million votes, Hispanic turnout is now exceeding presidential levels. More Hispanics have voted than did at this point in the 2024 presidential election. What's driving this huge increase? Young voters.
