parker fell silent for a moment, just looking at maddie with a frown on his face. “okay—” he mumbled, sighing softly. “there’s… something wrong with my heart. they’re still figuring it out, but that’s why i came back here. to have ndugu as my doctor.”

busy competition day, so happy p could tag along. <3
after such a hectic day, thankfully we were finally able to relax with some sparklers and s’mores. happy 4th 🩵
slowly nodding his head, parker folded his arms over his chest. “it sounds like time is just needed. maybe she’ll be more excited about it once she’s worked out whatever she’s dealing with?”
“thank you.” parker nodded, letting out a quiet sigh of relief before following maddie. “how’s work been today?” he asked, trying to distract from the fact that he was even there.
“uh, let me check.” he said, quickly pulling out his phone to check the information he’d been given. “dr. ndugu, apparently. this place is like a maze though, i keep following signs and then they don’t lead to where they should.”
taking the rope, parker nodded his head and copied what she did, putting the rope behind his back. “you can’t laugh at me if i fall over it, okay? i’m trying my best!”
jumping slightly at the hand on his arm, but immediately relaxing when he realised who it was. “oh— nothing. i just got lost trying to find someone. that’s all.”
