💵 Baselined: The Biden Economy We are taking a snapshot of Joe Biden's economy before he leaves office so we have a point of comparison when Donald Trump begins to take credit for it, like he did the economy he inherited form Barack Obama.

This really just happened. Trump signed an executive order saying no one in the future can make major modifications to the Oval Office or Cabinet Room without Congressional Approval. This comes after he literally tore apart an entire wing of the White House without Congressional approval.

Sen. Ben Sasse is living on borrowed time. The 54-year-old Nebraska Republican — famously one of the most bipartisan members of Congress — is battling Stage IV pancreatic cancer. But thanks to an experimental drug — the kind the current president’s administration cut research for — he’s bought himself a few extra months. Sasse is part of a clinical trial for daraxonrasib, which blocks the signal that makes cancer grow. In Sasse's case, his cancer has already "metastasized a number of places. So I've got lung, vascular, liver— liver is pretty far along,” he said on 60 Minutes. “I am on extended time already," he explained. ”I have much, much less pain than I had four months ago when I was diagnosed and I have a massive 76% reduction in tumor volume over the last four months." As he told Pelley, "It's weird to be in your early 50s and get a terminal diagnosis, and people all of a sudden act like you're 93 or 94 and you have a lot of wisdom. I don't know that I have a lot of wisdom, but I have a lot of things that I think we should be reflecting on together." Specifically, he mentioned the state of politics. "I think our national political dysfunction is an echo of larger problems," Sasse, who was one of seven from the Republican Party who voted to convict President Donald Trump over the January 6 riot, said. "We should make the Senate less of an institution that is built as a backdrop platform for people to get sound bites. That's not what the Senate is for. The Senate should be plotting and steady and boring and trustworthy." He continued, "We got a lot of people who serve in government who really do think the highest and greatest thing you can ever do is have the title senator or congressman. Bull---. The best thing you can do is be called dad or mom, lover, neighbor, friend." More Sasses, less MAGA ❤️ 📸: People

I stopped by Renee and Alex’s memorials today and was inspired to see all those who showed up to pay their respects and leave an “I voted” sticker. We have not forgotten. Accountability is coming.

Yes, we are to “live for Him in obedience to His Word, shine His light and truth in the ever-darkening world around us, and make disciples.” But it’s a hollow, hypocritical statement coming from a man who has obliterated that witness by actively supporting Trump.
The midterms are now over, leaving some very concerned—while others are elated. We see our country inching closer toward socialism, which is historically an enemy of God and His Word. However, today I am reminded that even though change is coming, as followers of Jesus Christ our job hasn’t changed! We are to live for Him in obedience to His Word, shine His light and truth in the ever-darkening world around us, and make disciples.

To those who call themselves “Christian” yet voted Red, I think you should go re-open your Bible. And a dictionary. Look up Rape. Pedophilia. Corruption. Then look at DJT. He is all about living those words.

A great start would be appointing a proper Ambassador who respects Canada. As you, and all your predecessors have.
In January, a new Congress will take office. As a former U.S. Ambassador to Canada, I urge its members to make repairing our relationship with Canada an early priority. Canada is our neighbor, our friend, and an essential partner. The work of reconciliation should begin now.

Here’s what people need to understand: my daughter couldn’t care less about the Muslim Brotherhood or transgender people. She voted on the fact that her and her husband had to DROP THEIR HEALTHCARE during this open enrollment because they can’t afford a $900 monthly premium and a $6000 dollar deductible. They are only insuring her so they can have another baby and are praying her husband and one year old don’t get too sick. So no, she couldn’t care less about Muslim’s in Minneapolis or Congress. She doesn’t care whether a person has a penis or a vagina. She doesn’t care whether her neighbor is documented or not. She doesn’t care about Iran or Israel or Ukraine. Her worries are in her home everyday knowing she can’t provide healthcare for her son. So every elitist who wants to say we are doomed, the country is going to change, be scared of this, etc. She doesn’t care. And until the everyday life of the average person improves and families have breathing room and can afford a home and health care, this is what we are going to get. The Republicans are SO out of touch about what actually matters and they deserved every bit of this.

In 2024 the evangelical closing argument was that Trump was flawed, yet still worthy of being President. This argument was extremely flawed. Actually, completely wrong.

Republicans keep saying that if we vote for a Muslim, we’ll all be wearing burqas and living under Sharia law. It’s funny because only one party has been attacking women and our rights for years, and it’s NOT the Democrats.

It’s been a long, dark night. But today I hear in a new way the echoes of Scripture. Weeping endures for the night, but joy comes in the morning.

For the next two years, Democrats should put bill after bill on Trumps desk. Force him to veto them. Bills to fix affordability, end the corruption, create jobs, end the war… all of them! Then in 2028, it will be clear to voters who stood in the way of re-building America.

Ken Paxton’s senior advisor: “Our churches, Christianity — it’s all gone.” The American people showed last night that they rightly think MAGA is a godless, corrupt movement that’s debasing our faith and our nation. That’s why Democrats are sending a Methodist pastor, a Presbyterian seminarian, a Sunday school teacher, a Muslim doctor, and a Catholic Native American to Washington while reelecting a Jewish Southerner in Georgia. This is America at its best.

Trump literally snatched a country’s head of state in the middle of the night. Threatened to annex Canada and single handily raised gas prices 30% across the world.

Now it's our turn to show America what Jesus' work on earth is REALLY supposed to look like. And it starts with how we treat those who treat us like enemies. Lead with love.
