Creator coins are exciting and can work in the mainstream but what's the missing link?
Why did Nick Shirley with 130M views on X not have a matching success with his creator coin? currently sub $1M market cap.
As a crypto native, I understand that the token is supposed to capture the value of the creator.
But for normies, why would they buy it? There's no real link or backing to the success of the creator
How can it do that?
Instead or in addition to creating content coins, creators should make creator specific prediction markets to bet on the success metrics of the creator.
“Will this video on X reach over 100M views by the end of the month?”
Volume to bet on the market routes through their creator coin, creating better liquidity and value to the creator coin.
The creator owns the prediction market, any fees from volume on the market can also go to the creator or creator coin buybacks.
And potentially the coolest part, creators can reward people betting on their markets with long term upside in them by distributing their creator coin. Like a rebate in the form of ownership in the creator for believing in them or giving them your attention.
Who's building this? This should already be on Zora but its not. Respect to everything they've built and being on the forefront of this category since the beginning.
