It's an incredibly tough situation because I feel like the more personality you put into being someone in those positions, the better you can connect with people and build rapport, but at the same time it also opens you up to being scrutinized and attacked for every minor thing you do.
Also doesn't help that the average person on this platform doesn't particularly care to think critically about what they see or do any form of research, they oftentimes just take things at face value and judge them to be fact (i.e. they think everything is negative because they only see the negative posts, but negative posts will get 200x the traction positive posts do due to the algorithm). This just creates a snowball effect of negativity where people get the pitchforks out over absolutely anything they disagree with, even if it's just company policy that you're informing them about :/
Like you said it's basically impossible to hire someone for positions like this, I've thought of having a sort of faceless team that acts in this way but that becomes no different from the average support account with no personality, so you lose a lot of the benefits. Probably has to be workshopped a lot more since I know there has to be a way to solve it but it's also probably not realistic to dedicate so many resources to something like this when you also have a whole game to run which is very understandable lol

I have a lot of respect for every Rioter, but especially for the ones like Drew who voluntarily put themselves out there when they know oftentimes people are more than happy to do whatever they can to get in their way and tear them down. It's very clear that it stems from a great love for the game and community, and it's honestly one of the types of work I find is both incredibly interesting and incredibly overlooked at times.
From the community's perspective it does feel pretty unfortunate since the people who are looking to bring others down somehow always seem to have the loudest voices. However, for what it's worth I'm glad there are others like me who try and stand up for what we think is right, because at the end of the day we love the game, the company, and the people who work there. And like you guys, we just want to see it all succeed ❤️

Respectfully, go fuck yourself. What are they supposed to do? Not win LCP? Not be the first seed?
I admit that we suck but we tried to get better. Just for there to be no scrim partners and for LCP to decline year after year for different reasons.

if you say this then I hope you also have the same standard for drew and are able to understand why people calling him a pedophile, egirl hunter, insulting him for being jewish, etc. would get to him and consequently make him act more inflammatorily?
obviously it shouldn't have happened, but at the end of the day he's human too just trying to do something nice for the community
