Right now Israel are pushing the Palestinians into the last 15% of Gaza. Of the other 85% much has already been bulldozed and covered in sand with building already begun. Within a few months Israel will come for that last 15% While this Genocide takes place the West ignores it

I worked in the NHS for 14 years. Now doctors like me who speak about Gaza are being reported to the GMC, written up in the press, and left fighting for our careers. A new petition to launch a public inquiry into the UK's role in the Gaza genocide has already reached over 20,000 signatures. If it surpasses 100,000, it must be considered for a debate in parliament. 👉petition.parliament.uk/petit…

Today's Guardian headlines sum up what's been wrong with years of the paper's coverage of Gaza. "Neither war nor peace". That's a reference to the non-existent ceasefire. But actually, it's just another example of the Guardian refusing to state the obvious: that what's happening to Gaza is not war or peace, it's a slow-motion genocide – the ultimate crime. Palestinians in Gaza are not just living "amid disease, despair and ruins" – as if they are unfortunate victims of an earthquake. They are living in an ever-shrinking concentration camp, subjected to continuing drone attacks and air strikes, and still denied the essentials of life. It is Israel actively doing all this to the people of Gaza. But once again Israel is completely absent from the headline. In the subhead, notice how the "change" in Palestinians' lives is still being attributed – three years on – to Hamas' single-day attack, not to Israeli leaders' endlessly repeated genocidal lust. The Hamas attack wasn't the cause of the genocide: it was the pretext Israel needed to carry out a long-held plan. And how does the Guardian refer to Israel's genocidal three-year rampage that's killed and maimed many 100,000s of Palestinians? It's simply a "subsequent Israeli offensive". One of the reasons for all this blandness in western media coverage is that ensures Israel doesn't complain, it doesn't accuse outlets of being antisemitic. Blandness in the face of a genocide is another term for moral cowardice.

Today is the 3-year anniversary of the October 7th 2023 attack on Israel by Hamas and other Palestinian resistance organisations, after years of the Israeli government keeping Gaza’s economy on the brink of collapse, and maintaining Gaza as an open-air concentration camp. For three years Israel, Western governments and the media have tried to convince you that the militia of an open-air concentration camp with nothing but light arms, caused this level of destruction. Thanks to brave reporting from independent media in the West and some Israeli journalists, we know that Israel implemented the Hannibal Directive, where Israeli helicopter gunships unloaded their bullets and rockets on anything that moved to prevent Israelis being taken hostage by Hamas, who would then be used in hostage negotiations to free the thousands of Palestinian prisoners. The now debunked mass rape claims are also now enshrined in Israeli law, meaning questioning these debunked claims, or even saying that they have been debunked, could land you in prison in Israel. Israel’s Knesset approved a bill criminalising denial of Israel’s version of events of October 7th, those who break this law could face 5 years in prison. The media and the US government, the Israeli government, and the media lied about 40 babies being beheaded, and a baby being thrown into an oven. These lies would go on to manufacture consent for the Gaza genocide, where US, UK, and EU governments would arm Israel to relentlessly attack the 2 million Palestinians of Gaza, where half of the population are under 18, and 73% are refugees, including those who are descendants of those who escaped Israeli ethnic cleansing in 1948. The Gaza genocide once again exposed the brutal face of the ‘rules-based order’, where the rules are for the rest, while the NATO West and its allies are free to commit wanton colonial barbarism.

NHS Leader: “I do not believe Lucy Letby murdered those babies,” he said. “Having spent 30 years watching how hospitals fail, I can see another narrative that explains what happened in Chester without a murderer in it. “It is a narrative that is uncomfortable, ordinary and, I think, far more likely. Healthcare harms patients. Globally, every day of every year. That is an uncomfortable fact, but it is a fact. @sarahknapton @DavidDavisMP @YvetteCooperMP archive.is/2026.09.19-080939…

Tossers like this want the RNLI to be asking for nationalities before pulling people out of danger. It's up to the government to find a solution to the problem and not for the RNLI to stand by and let people drown.
If an organisation finds itself hated by a large proportion of the British public - then it is time to rethink their aims and objectives. Or risk being hated even more. RNLI has some thinking to do.

They stole Maryam Salameh last night. Not a soldier on a battlefield, but a beautiful young woman, full of life, dreams, memories and a future she had every right to believe was hers. Terrorist Israel reached her in the supposed safety and comfort of her own home in the town of Maifadoun, southern Lebanon, with a bomb made in the United States of America, paid off with tax payers' money. Another young life extinguished. Another family left staring at an absence that can never be filled. Another dream buried beneath the rubble of a country that has been taught, time and again, that international law applies selectively and that Lebanese lives can be destroyed with complete impunity. And while Maryam's family mourns, Lebanon's political establishment continues to speak the language of sovereignty while surrendering its meaning. At the very top stands a political order that has repeatedly asked the Lebanese people to place their faith in institutions that have proven incapable of protecting them from Israeli aggression. People were told to trust that the Lebanese Army would be strengthened, that the state would reclaim responsibility for defending its land and its people. But what does sovereignty mean when Israeli warplanes can enter Lebanese skies, strike Lebanese homes, and kill Lebanese citizens? What does trust mean when the very state presented as the alternative to resistance is unable or even unwilling to prevent its people from becoming targets? For many Lebanese, the painful reality is becoming impossible to ignore: an army that is politically restrained, strategically constrained, and dependent on powers that arm and protect Israel cannot simply be presented as an independent shield against Israeli aggression. A nation cannot outsource its security to a political framework designed by those who tolerate its repeated violation. Maryam paid the ultimate price for this hypocrisy. Her death is not merely another number to be added to a casualty list. She was a person. A daughter. A young woman with dreams that will now remain forever unfinished. And those who speak endlessly of "state sovereignty" should have the courage to explain to Maryam's family what sovereignty looks like when a US-made bomb can find its way into the home of a young Lebanese woman in the south and steal her future. Rest in peace, Maryam. Your life was precious. Your dreams mattered. And no amount of political rhetoric will ever make the silence surrounding your killing any less shameful.

Statement of Strong Condemnation and Outright Denunciation Of the Occupying Enemy's Crimes in Khiam From Khiam, we ask the world: What kind of agreement between the sovereign Lebanese state and the Israeli enemy, under American auspices, allows the enemy to commit such crimes? 1. Israel enters the villages of southern Lebanon as it pleases, without accountability or oversight. 2. It kills and assassinates innocent people, young and old, including families sheltering in the safety of their homes, as well as civil defense personnel and paramedics, under false and baseless pretexts. 3. It demolishes and destroys homes, schools, hospitals, institutions, public spaces and landmarks, archaeological sites, mosques, churches, cemeteries, roads, parks, and the very foundations and infrastructure of our communities. 4. It bulldozes our land, seizes control of river channels, burns our trees, and uproots our olive trees only to plant them on its own land. 5. And after doing all of this, it sets everything ablaze. Today, Israel has taken its criminality to a new level by burning everything in its path. It has set fire to our properties in an attempt to burn away our history and geography; our homes, our land, our resources, our culture, and our heritage. To our government, and to the entire world: We lay bare this barbarity to express our anger and our absolute rejection of the policy of scorched earth and systematic destruction. We speak out to strongly condemn these barbaric massacres and the policy of displacement pursued by the enemy to protect its settlements. We speak out to condemn the international community for its disturbing silence and to hold it responsible for enabling this enemy to persist in its crimes through its failure to hold it accountable. We condemn and denounce these actions and ask: Is this what the sovereignty of our country has come to mean; our extermination? Have these agreements protected us from the consequences of war, or have they merely given the enemy greater license to kill and displace us? To the entire world: Are these not grave war crimes and flagrant violations of international law and humanitarian principles? Should they not be stopped, and those responsible held accountable? To our government, to the world, and to all those involved in negotiating and implementing wartime agreements: We make the following clear: For decades, the people of southern Lebanon have defended their land. Today, the state has led us toward diplomacy and an agreement whose provisions Israel has failed to respect; an agreement under which our land has been violated, our homes demolished, and our communities burned. And we ask: Has this agreement truly delivered the sovereignty we were promised? Has it returned us to our land and our villages? We reaffirm our condemnation, denunciation, and outright rejection of these violations. We call upon the Lebanese authorities to adopt clear, unequivocal, and forceful positions against the violations and attacks being perpetrated against our people. We hold the international community responsible for what is taking place. And we reaffirm our right to have the Lebanese state protect us and enable our return to our land; our right to return to our steadfast stronghold of Khiam; and the right of every southerner to return to their village. That is our natural and legitimate right, by every available means. Municipality of Khiam, 28 August 2026.

Excellent article Carl. Extra bit of info about Sally Clark and the association with Lucy Letby. Not only was the same Police Force involved but the prosecutor in Sally’s case who dragged out her second Appeal for months (knowing she’d win ) even over Christmas meaning she missed seeing her only surviving son, a toddler, for months and over Christmas, was Robin Spencer QC. The Law commission produced a lengthy report after the Clark,Cannings and Anthony cases with multiple recommendations especially about the need for independent oversight and training for Judges in medical and scientific cases as well as rigorous scrutiny of Expert Witnesses. When the report was produced years after Sally was released and later died, the Coalition was in Government. They made Robin Spencer a High Court Judge and he was duly knighted. They decided not to accept the recommendations due to ‘cost’. Roll forward around 12 years and Cheshire had another ‘Sally’. This time it was Lucy. Halfway through her trial, Sir Robin Spencer who was an alumni from the same school as Jayaram; a politician from the Coalition Government and a Sky News reporter, decided to retire early. He would have known that Lucy would be found guilty with all the shocking press coverage thanks to Hummingbird, and he would also know she had the right to appeal. Once retired as a High Court Judge he was in the perfect position to become an Appeal Court Judge, which he did. Just in time to be the single Appeal Court Judge to refuse an Appeal for Lucy. Not an open and shut serial murder case: a despicable can of worms.
