I knew this without having to be told. It was a fun sequence…but it felt at odds with the other part of the movie that really worked for me. This was a throwback Universal Monster movie at its best and the club scene felt out of a completely different mindset.
#Clayface director James Watkins added the third-act club sequence to Mike Flanagan's script so Matt Hagen could revel in the "dark glee" of his powers. hollywoodreporter.com/movies…
Larkin is a perfect idea for the Sabres in that people can give them credit for trying but also the odds of him waiving are low enough they never actually have to do anything.
It’s everything they love.
Costs nothing, fools the idiots, accomplishes nothing.
I hope the fans who keep showing that the Sabres record is the same as it was at this point of last season keep it going all year. Going to get incredibly funny after December 9th.
They were injured to shit to start last year. This roster being even doesn’t mean what you think
Every new Hunger Games that comes out I see a trailer or commercial that for almost the entire time I can’t tell if it’s a bad parody movie like we used to get about every genre or an actual movie.
Then I see like Ralph Fiennes or someone and I figure it out.
Packers/Lions and KC/Seattle are the next two games?
Amazing how much better slates look when you aren’t having NFC East teams shoved down your throat.
Take this opportunity to weed out the terrible Sabres reporters
Any of them who argues the Sabres clearly want to improve the roster because Jarmo was in on stuff…cut them out
Stupid fucks like Mike Harrington are easily impressed with nothing because they know nothing
Hey @XBOX
Maybe six or seven more Call of Duty ads on the home screen and I’ll totally buy the game. For sure. Like…totally. You’re so close but 8, in this case, just isn’t enough.
Wasting your money on idiot business decisions is your problem. Leave us the fuck alone.
They used both first round picks, didn’t replace Tuch and couldn’t get a Hellebuyck deal when he went for peanuts.
They really did all that.
They’re fucking rebuilding after winning the division.
For real.
They’re worried about 2030.
Fuck these fucks.
When the problems are exactly the same as the ones you said would be the problems before the first puck dropped…you’re allowed to blame the GM who did nothing about any of those problems.
Fuck Jarmo.
Fuck Jarmo.
The Dahlin trade request when he realizes Jarmo has fucked the franchise is going to be such a fun time on this app.
Oh look. A big save on the other side of the ice.
Weird.
A wide open look with the defense completely disheveled and it…didn’t go in? I couldn’t see what happened? Did something get in the way of it? That can’t be legal.
You like to think things can’t get worse for the state of the Sabres and then you remember that we still have years of watching Mrtka do nothing in the lineup because he is tall and was drafted high.
I hope the Sabres lose by ten tonight.
I hope Alex Tuch scores 5.
I hope UPL stops zero shots on goal.
Because fuck Jarmo for what he did to this team. Tanking is the only way they’re going to add talent with this loser bitch in charge.
Motherfuckers will look you in the eye and say “there hasn’t been anyone to trade for” 3 weeks after Marchenko, drafted/developed by Jarmo, got moved
And if “we didn’t have the pieces to do it” come out of your mouth…that’s a pretty big fucking indictment of his roster isn’t it
Must be nice to have a GM that isn’t a fucking loser.
Alright. My abridged thoughts on what the #NJDevils gave up for Hellebuyck:
• Alexander Command is the asset that hurts the most, full-stop. Even then, he’s likely 2-3 years out from even debuting in the NHL and has a second-line ceiling that probably won’t be hit for a while.
• Dawson Mercer’s reputation is far more impactful than his actual on-ice value. He’s a middle-six guy who stagnated pretty heavily after 2022-23. He’s not a driver by any means, he initiates forechecks but isn’t great at converting them, and he isn’t stalwart defensively. He works hard on the ice, but so does everyone else on the team.
• Nico Daws is a goalie, and realistically not a super good one. Young and has NHL upside, but the quintessential example of “You never know what you’re gonna get.”
• Nick Bjugstad is whatever. Was never going to play here anyway.
• 2029 2nd and 2027 7th is insane work by Sunny. The Devils remain in possession of all four of their first-rounders in the next two drafts.
Overall: The Devils are getting a top-three goalie in the NHL for a prospect, a middle-sixer, a meh goalie, an injured fourth-liner, and two picks outside of the first round. They keep all of their firsts, Lenni Hämeenaho, Anton Silaev, and Mikhail Yegorov.
Insane work by Sunny here.
