BLACKPINK makes HERSTORY today as the FIRST K-POP GROUP to receive the Okgwan (Jade Crown) Order of Cultural Merit, with all four members being honored at the 2026 Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards.
— It is the HIGHEST grade ever awarded to a K-pop group.
I'm surprised they're still somehow receiving shit as a group to be honest
BLACKPINK is scheduled to receive a government honor at the 2026 Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards on October 29, 2026, held at the Haeoreum Grand Theater of the National Theater of Korea in Seoul ✨
The members are expected to send individual acceptance videos due to their solo schedules.
ROSÉ was individually honored with the Presidential Commendation at this ceremony in 2025.
