Already a week since the conference, and we're still buzzing!
We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. We've had some wonderful feedback, and we'd love to hear your thoughts if you joined us in Leeds last week.
Thanks again to everyone who took part and supported the event.

At Northern Lights conference. This was the first divorce conference I attended 5 years ago and I’m delighted that it’s back! #brighterfuture

The law is the easy bit! Every day, family lawyers navigate the minefield of relationship breakdown via difficult clients, aggressive opposing lawyers, & toxic relationships to come out the other side with a settlement that the client is happy with.
In their Northern Lights conference workshop next month, Juliette Kinsey and Will Kaye will share tips on how to manage challenging behaviours and self-care at the same time. Join them on 10 November: lnkd.in/eihdn-b5

As a prelude to our closing conference panel session, we’re happy to welcome Suzanne Smales and Suzanne Kingston next month to run a workshop on why neutrals are so important in the collaborative process. Book your place and sign up to their workshop: bit.ly/NorthernLights11
Suzanne Smales is a barrister who practised in family law for 20 years before moving to Australia in 2010, where she requalified and trained as a collaborative lawyer and mediator. She moved back to the UK last year.
Listen up! Ed Heaton is joining us next month for a workshop on the essential art of active listening. As lawyers, mediators, coaches & neutrals, how can we help clients without first understanding their situation, how they feel about it and what they would like going forward?
Through exercises & interactive discussion, Ed will look at the contrast between listening and hearing, consider the different types of listening, discuss practical things that we can do to raise our game & think about the role of empathy. Book here: bit.ly/NorthernLights11
