BIG UPDATE: introducing Mazzap v2. It's a map and it's an app and I'm Mr. Mazza and I'm building the Mazzstack for your singularity slow life needs.
Open source agroecological palantir for the people!!
We have a LOT of new features for all of your land management needs. Let's get into it!
- Automatic fetchers to build your own virtually embodied intelligent land (VEIL) from public data!
In v1, you had to prep your own data in QGIS to get started. No longer! Just draw a polygon on a map of the US and generate your very own georefrenced land model!
- Tree typing and species estimation
We use LiDAR data and NAIP imagery to distinguish your deciduous from evergreen trees and then we apply another filter of LANDFIRE EVT classes to estimate the species of each tree! It's not perfect, but it works reasonably well!
- Hydrology simulation engine
You can now run various simulations to identify spring spot candidates on your land and estimate water flow in given situations, like a rainstorm or snow melt over a certain period of time. Very useful for planning your swales and such!
-QField Integration!!
I dont love the UX of the app, but QField is a preexisting open source mobile surveying app with integrations to QGIS. You can now conduct your own citizens surveys of your land and import the data directly into your personal model. It's all local and no one will ever see your data!!
- First person POV simulation
Still early, but walk the model of your land, and even reconstruct the POV of GPS tagged animals. (We're going to use this stuff later for planning drone missions and RL)
- Introducing G.A.I.A.!!
A Geospatial Agroecological Intelligent Agent. (Basically an MCP server LMAO). But basically you can reason over all of your geospatial data with an LLM now, and soon you'll be able to have GAIA take actions on your land too. It's more handy than you think! Check it out. Works GREAT with Hermes and I have a bunch of skills I can share with you
- LIVE TELEMETRY
We're just getting started with meshtastic gateway that can live stream GPS nodes and device telemetry data to the model and display it. Soon we'll have a wifi gateway too. This will also be, in the future, how GAIA starts to take actions on your land! Stay tuned! (this is the coolest part of the video IMO, starts around 2:50)
COMING SOON:
- Time series data visualization, analysis and planning
The architecture is already set up for this, I just need some good data to test with!
- Generative agroecological design
Co-designing earthworks, hydrological, and gardening projects with GAIA. Visualize the results and simulate them--even test out multiple branches. This will be fun
- Forecasting
Take the simulations to the next level. Project tree growth 5, 10, 15 years out. Will support branching too!
- Proactive analysis
Part and parcel with time series data: GAIA will start to notice patterns, flag areas of concern, and become an active stewardship partner for your land management needs!
- YOUR IDEAS!
It's 100% free and open source. The repo is in the link below. Let's all build the future together!

If you think about it, a living species is only a temporary arrangement of matter induced by a particular combination of genetic patterns that persist, for a while, against entropy. Cells rewrite their genetic coding little by little, testing alterations that most often fail and sometimes open a new path. Survival is actually an endless succession of provisional strategies!! Which is a miracle against the millions of probabilities that lead to extinction.
Across a human lifetime the changes remain nearly invisible to us. Across a few thousand years they begin to appear as differences in bone, in fur, in the way a river is crossed or a winter endured. Biology really is amazing ˖ ݁𖥔 ݁˖

Remember that you can change your mind about something if new information becomes available that changes your mind. It's crazy but true

Harsh judgement is not a bad thing if it’s accurate. People have this idea that judgement is wrong, but sometimes judging is just observing. And one thing I notice some conscious people do is hold their tongue too much. Because it’s somehow ungodly, not enlightened or in whatever way improper.
Meanwhile, some of the dumbest people spread their awful judgement everywhere without a care in the world, crafting nonsensical narratives that become truths.
We need clearer judgement even if it’s hard. It’s okay to hold people accountable and hold them to a better standard and call them out if they are not living up to it.
Being lukewarm achieves nothing. Be bolder, be fearless with truth. We need more passionate people with laser-sharp words that dispel illusions, dismantle inverted paradigms and shed light on all the dark corners of the collective mind.
The good people need to be more vocal, commanding, assertive and confident in what they see and what they know.

You do not have to emotionally involve yourself in every narrative that is pushed by the algorithm btw. So many people are possessed by the algo every day. It’s like a wave that sweeps everyone away, but you can just focus on your life and not leak your energy by entangling yourself in morally questionable and even fake controversies and things that don’t make a difference in your life. It’s mental hygiene.

Social media feels like being plugged into a global body with constant alarm signals — because you are.
Your brain and nervous system are plugged into a giant digital brain. Social media is a neural network and collective nervous system and you are one of its neurons.
Stay and I will show you the mechanism, how it interacts with your own brain + nervous system and how it mimics a real human neural network like the one in your brain.
—The neural network:
People are nodes or neurons: each person receives information, processes it and decides whether to pass it on.
Shares, likes, comments and bookmarks are reinforcement signals: when enough people react, an idea fires across the network.
Algorithms act like synaptic strength: they amplify some posts (strengthen some neural connections) and suppress (weaken) others, shaping which signals spread.
Virality is an activation cascade: one input can trigger chain reactions across millions of people.
Repeated discourses are reinforced pathways: ideas that circulate often become easier to believe, spread, reinforce and crystallize.
Echo chambers are feedback loops: clusters reinforce their own signals and filter out others.
It happens in real-time: signals spread within minutes, activity moves through the network immediately.
—The nervous system:
Social media has created a collective central nervous system. A system that senses, transmits, reacts and regulates at scale. And your own nervous system is plugged into it.
Sensing: millions of people notice events, emotions, threats, patterns, ideas, opportunities, and then post about them.
Transmission: posts carry those signals across the system immediately. Algorithms amplify or inhibit them.
Integration: responses, debates, memes and commentary interpret what the signals mean.
Response: the collective reaction can shape actions —like boycotts, protests, market moves, trends, panic, fear, motivation, celebration, gossip, etc.
Overall: it defines states. Discourse can create collective calm, inspiration, mania, psychosis, fear, outrage, etc. Moods spread quickly and the whole network can become easily dysregulated: hypervigilant, reactive, polarized, exhausted. We see this often.
This is why social media IS like being plugged into a global body with constant alarm signals. Because YOU ARE. That’s what gets you addicted. That’s why it can easily dysregulate you. You are making yourself part of this network and system and therefore it is shaping you and your mind, because you are a node/neuron inside it.
The algorithm is constantly learning from engagement, much like an artificial network adjusts weights during training or how synaptic strength works. If outrage gets more attention, outrage-producing signals gain more weight. Ragebait and controversy are the best examples. If calm, thoughtful posts get less engagement, they become quieter in the network. The wiser/best people having few followers and low engagement is a great example.
And the unfortunate implication is that, unlike in the brain, in here there are algorithms serving specific people’s interests that shape what fires, what gets spread and what gets reinforced. Whoever influences the weights/strength of the synapses, influences what the collective mind experiences and believes.
Narratives are deliberately fired (pushed) to produce hyperactivation/excitation in the network and gear the collective mind towards specific beliefs, ontologies, behaviors, actions and lifestyles and reinforce them.
Like controversy that causes runaway firing. Runaway firing is when activity spreads faster than the brain can regulate it. Like a pile-on, viral panic, viral outrage, confusion, etc. Normally a network keeps a balance between excitation and inhibition. When runaway firing happens due to overexcitation, there’s not enough calm to counterbalance and bring the system back to equilibrium. So it feels like dysregulation, mania, neuroticism, psychosis, both in the individual &
