This is a BFD - I’m honored to have the endorsement of @bridgetmfleming - she’s a deeply respected Suffolk County legislator and ran a strong race for Congress in ‘22. We’ll build on that effort with her help and finally flip this seat from red to blue!

Suffolk County is already feeling the effects of polluted water, but the Suffolk County Legislature Republican Majority still put politics over people and refused us the right to vote for clean water funding.
Sign our petition condemning the decision to deny us clean water here:
Waterways, rated “poor” and “fair.” Gobler: water quality at “an all-time low.” Just as the bad news was coming out, the County Legislature failed to put Water Quality on the Nov. 7 ballot.

A major water quality fix was killed last week for politics and in clear disregard for public health.
The Suffolk Legislature's Republican majority has dirty hands. newsday.com/opinion/editoria…
Meanwhile Suffolk Republicans kill the water quality plan which is the one lever we can pull to restore coastal resources in the face of climate change per Dr. Gobler. O/h from R’s at the horseshoe: “Not a problem. “It’s only July. The voters won’t remember come November.”
MAGA Republicans are pouring fuel on the climate crisis fire.

ALT Five headlines on top read: “The Washington Post: Phoenix hits record for 19th day of 110+ degrees in a row - with more ahead”; “CNN: “39-day heat wave could last into August after smashing 2,300-plus records”; “CNBC: 'We are in uncharted territory: World records hottest day ever for the third time in just four days”; “Forbes: “July 4 Was Earth's Hottest Day In Over 100,000 Years-Breaking Record For 2nd Day in a row”; “CBS: NOAA: Earth just had the hottest June on record.” Bottom text reads: “The climate crisis is here. That's why President Biden passed historic clean energy investments that will grow the economy and help fight climate change. Every MAGA Republican in Congress voted NO.”

With deep gratitude after 24 years in public service, I’m moving on to new challenges and making way for fresh perspectives, and won’t be seeking re-election. I’m delighted to pass the baton to Southampton Town Trustee Ann Welker. 🇺🇸💪🏼🗳️ suffolkcountydems.com/sites/…
