We’re happy to share our updated manuscript on Ninj1, incorporating measurements of membrane tension, cellular assays of ninj1 and ninj2 dimer stability and MD simulations of ninj1 oligmers opening and forming (see below!).

We're thrilled to share the lab's latest publication demonstrating how caspase-4 and the non canonical inflammasome recognize cytosolic LPS by preferentially binding to the convex portions of membranes - both bacterial and micelles @ImmunityCP @DIB_UNIL
sciencedirect.com/science/ar…
Finally, we show that increased membrane curvature makes more sites for caspase4 to bind, which we observe with immunogold/TEM and MD simulations, thanks to key contributions from @MasarykUni
Join us for the upcoming innate immunity keystone. There’s a great lineup of speakers.
#InnateImmunity : Diversity in #HostDefense & Disease, this March!

Congratulations to (former!) postdoc @EHartenian on launching her career with a prestigious SNF Ambizione grant at the @DIB_UNIL studying how hosts respond to viral infection in her own lab here at University of Lausanne.
Check out the lab’s latest review on ninj1 biology by @EBernard1993 and @EHartenian. Your one stop shop for all ninj1-related questions 😉@CurrentBiology

Thanks to authors of the news and views for @AlexandraBoegli 's NLRP6 story, highlighting the disruption to homeostasis as the activation trigger.

Congratulations to Doctor Alexandra Boegli who very successfully defended her PhD on Listeria activation of NLRP6 through induction of lysosomal damage 🥳!! Very well deserved (and a very well enjoyed celebration) 🥂
