Listen up, folks, it's our daily masochist command from the neoliberal priesthood. As sovereign currency-issuing nations - the sooner the Eurozone fragments the better - we must keep believing that the bond/FX markets and rating agencies are the ultimate celestial power, the Sun God that can punish us at the slightest sign of dissent and infidelity. But only because cowardly bought-off politicians allow rich private institutions to manipulate value by holding bonds tradable in secondary markets and exchanging capital across borders. Enlightenment? Knowledge? Progress? We are still the willing subjects of a deranged, masochistic cult-like belief system when, really, to escape it, all we need is a diploma, a heart-shaped clock and a medal.
Most people don’t yet grasp what is happening in France. Markets are pricing French sovereign debt as junk, rating agencies will eventually have to follow. This will have two major impacts:
1. Most French banks are already rated at or just below the sovereign, so a move toward junk would likely drag domestically focused lenders with it. Credit to households and firms would slow sharply, hurting the economy and widening the fiscal deficit even further, a vicious cycle.
2. For the ECB, the constraint is legal as well as financial. A fall below investment grade would force sales by ratings-bound investors while making any backstop harder to justify under current rules.
The next euro crisis will begin in France. The first, which began in Greece, will feel like a walk in the park compared with what comes next.

Disgusting. He did it on purpose. And these clowns laugh when they should be offering to compensate the man for breaking a tool he needs to make a living.
They act like the entitled white supremacists we had in Hong Kong during the colonial era.

The young man who murdered so many in Poland wearing his Ukraine flag.
Poland has soaked its population in pro Ukrainian propaganda, encouraged Russophobia, and refused to hold Ukraine to account for its celebration of Nazi collaborators and killers.

Journalism needs more Nurys
The Diplomat website retracted an article on Friday, saying that a story about a Ukraine firm was fabricated, and the bylined journalist, one “Kim Hwa-pyeong”, may not exist.
“We now know that the journalist fabricated the interview and may not even be who they claimed to be,” the website said.
Brendan Ruberry of Semafor yesterday added on X that “Clarissa Jenkins”, another writer for the same website, also did not exist—and her report was graded by a detection service as “100 per cent AI-generated”.
.
ACCELERATING PROBLEM
The problem is likely accelerating. Sophia Gonzales, Ervin B Hoskins, and five other published journalists do not exist, according to a study in September by researchers at OpenAI.
The present writer recently raised the issue of “Maya Wang”, the widely quoted China-hostile voice at Human Rights Watch. Her friends say the name was made-up for the wife of former Hong Kong Free Press columnist “Kong Tsung-gan”—who also did not exist—even though he was quoted in the New York Times, CNN, the Guardian, Time magazine, Washington Post, France24, Deutsch Welle and so on. Kong was unmasked as Brian P Kern, a US anti-China activist.
UK Press Gazette reported on September 18 that the widely quoted art therapist "Dr Eleni Nicolaou", quoted in Forbes, Psychology, Vice and Glamour, appeared to be AI-generated.
While it is not illegal to use a pen name or to add a “name changed to protect the innocent” disclaimer in an upfront manner, any practice that deceives readers is considered unethical in journalism.
This can be a particular issue when there is a clear political purpose, as in the case of Mrs Kern, or an ethnicity-switching aspect, as in the case of her husband’s “yellowface” writings.
.
GENERATING FAKE FACES
In the past five or six years, AI-powered scams have made these scams easier, as fake faces can be generated.
In 2020, “Martin Aspen”, a researcher who produced a lengthy report on Hunter Biden’s dealings in China, turned out to be a fake identity with an AI-generated face.
The project was financed by Apple Daily, run by Trump-fanatic publisher Jimmy Lai.

'Free markets' have never been free and never can be - it's a misnomer. They were originally the product of meddling. Meddling with nature is how humans survived. Getting the meddling right is the trick.

No IAEA spies are visiting Iranian facilities anymore, US agents identified by Iran’s intelligence and put in jail or executed and now the United States is seeking intelligence by putting more lives at risk and offering money.
PS: there is possible relocation!! Not for sure! That means if you were arrested we can’t do anything for you!
Rewards for Justice is offering a reward of up to $20 million and possible relocation for information about Iran’s nuclear program, including its facilities, equipment, and associated personnel, such as those in the scientific community, or the movement of any of the above.

just in case anyone doesn't know what "Western Values" are baked in, some quick demonstrations from their dataset.
they baked in CIA propaganda and want the model to ignore anything that's not from CIA sources.
it's actually a comprehensive collection of CIA talking points🤡
Introducing Arete-27B: Qwen3.8-27B, post-trained to reinforce Western values.
Chinese open models are currently the strongest available, but they ship with state-aligned behavior in the weights. We built an 803-prompt eval across seven value categories, including freedom of expression, democracy, and privacy, and measured how often a model adopts China’s party line.
After fine-tuning on roughly 53 million tokens, Arete-27B's propaganda rate fell from 22% to 1%, in line with the Western models we tested. Its Hermes Bench score shows no significant performance tradeoffs.
The values in an open model are one fine-tune away.
Our eval, weights, and training data are available now along with the full blog post: nousresearch.com/arete
Sci-Hub was conceived as a communist project, btw. Elbakyan started it to allow those who were unable to get past academic paywalls to access scientific papers. The website even used to display the hammer and sickle. If you’re interested, you can also have a look at the lecture++

Here is Michael Alig after he served his sentence for murder (he injected a man with bleach and dismembered his corpse) and was released from jail.
He is doing a podcast with a ‘drag kid’ named Desmond is Amazing.
On the wall behind them is a painting of a child with the word ‘rohypnol’ written on it.
In 1996, the most famous party promoter in New York told people that he had killed a man. Most of them laughed. He told it at parties and at dinners, and he even said it to a camera crew filming him. Almost nobody believed him until a box washed up on a beach in Staten Island:
His name was Michael Alig. He was the "King of the Club Kids", a crowd of young people in wild makeup, wigs and costumes who made the Limelight the craziest club in the city. They went on Donahue, Geraldo and Joan Rivers. He was paid to throw parties, and drugs were everywhere.
In the video below, filmed about 3 months before his arrest, he says it at 0:06 without any hesitation: "I killed Angel, and that's the kind of thing that gets me in trouble." Watch his face at 0:12, right after he says it.
Angel was Andre Melendez, a dealer who sold drugs at the Limelight and lived in Alig's apartment building. On March 17, 1996, after a fight over money Alig owed him, Alig and his roommate Robert "Freeze" Riggs killed him in the apartment. They left his body in the bathtub, covered in ice, for days. Then Alig got rid of it in exchange for 10 bags of heroin and threw it in the Hudson River.
Children playing in the water on Staten Island pulled out the box. Meanwhile Alig kept telling the story, and a Village Voice columnist printed the rumor in April. Police were busy investigating the club's owner. The body was identified in November, and Alig was found hiding in a New Jersey motel. He pleaded guilty to manslaughter and got 10 to 20 years.
He walked out in 2014 after 17 years and went back to the spotlight. On Christmas Eve 2020 he died of an overdose at 54.
He told everyone for months. Did nobody believe him, or did nobody want to?

Nov. 7 is the anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution in Russia, which shook the old order and inspired socialist revolutions and national liberation struggles around the world.
Today marks the 108th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution—one of the most important single events in history under the leadership of Lenin. The October Revolution didn’t just topple a dynasty; it shattered the illusion that capitalism and empire were inevitable. It led not only to the formation of the first socialist state on Earth but also ignited a global wave of anti-imperialist, anti-colonial, and socialist struggles. It forced even capitalist states to reform—social security, labor rights, and public education expanded partly in response to the Soviet example.
