They called it apartheid. The ballot box called them liars. Arab and Muslim parties are winning 17 seats in Israel’s parliament, the Knesset. Arab turnout was above 70% in town after town. Wait, I thought Zionists were racist, so how come these “racists” are giving parliamentary seats to Arabs and Muslims, who, in turn, came out to vote? Some villages hit 90% turnout. They democratically participated and voted in a Zionist democratic system they believe in? Arabs now hold about 14% of Israel’s parliament. Muslim MPs hold about 4% of Britain’s. Odd kind of apartheid, where the “oppressed” vote harder than London does.

All this is both worrying and absurd. The only reason for picking out Islam as opposed to Judaism or Christianity (especially Catholicism) is naked electoral interest and sheer fear of Moslem opinion. Other parties should guarantee to reverse it. It is a blot on open landscape.

Islam is a vile religion. It propagates violence, dehumanises women, kills those who will not submit, results in paedophilia on the grand scale, enslaves captives, etc etc. What is there to like about any of this?

So who on earth will it appoint as its “anti-Muslim hostility” tsar? The Free Speech Union does not have high hopes. Labour is chasing the Muslim vote after hampering support over recent years in Muslim communities. It is sacrificing our right to criticise religion on the altar of electoral ambition. It is both sinister and shameless.
