It's good to be the king...carbon footprint be damned.
The new @McIlroyRory sponsorship with @DP_World will see the Dubai company transporting two personalised fitness and recovery trailers for Rory.
Mcllroy also becomes a global ambassador for DP World.

Despite having no affiliation with Texas, I routinely cite Ray Wylie Hubbard’s “Screw You (We’re From Texas).” Some of the flag positions from my round at NCR last week felt like “Screw You (It’s A Tuesday).”

Dear friends, during some recent medical examinations, the doctors found a small, localized nodule in my lung. It was detected at a very early stage and is well-localized. The doctors believe that it is best to intervene, so, following their advice, I have decided to undergo surgery to remove it. The operation is already scheduled to take place in the coming days. I thank you for your spiritual closeness and entrust myself to your prayers.

@GabbyHerzig’s article in @TheAthletic nails the @Yale_GolfCourse situation. The good news is the athletic department will no longer run the facility. These conditions are not the fault of the course superintendent but a lack of proper priorities. Photos taken last week.

If he hasn’t gotten tenure yet, this may push him over the top.

One of the coolest stories of the year just wrapped. Alex Fitzpatrick will finish top-10 at the TOUR Championship. He didn't hold status until late April.
Now he's a top-30 player, alongside his brother. Might win Rookie of the Year. Just really cool for the Fitzpatrick family.

OK, FINE, I’ll do it.

Good Good made a mistake because they swam outside their depth. It’s obvious they don’t actually hate women or endorse violence. But Callaway was supposed to be the adult in the room. Was the brand so desperate for GG’s audience they failed everyone? thefriedegg.com/articles/goo…

Thought on the picks:
Stanford had to pick Rose Zhang and Megan Khang. They bring too much to the team room. Khang likes to go out early and set the tone, then make sure everyone else feels support. Stanford called her the team's battery.
Zhang loves being part of a team. She's the epitome of humble strength. Gotta believe they'll both find it when the gun goes off. Stanford hasn't even asked Zhang about her back injury. Not worried.
That last pick was tough. No one came out and grabbed it. Stanford called Lindy Duncan one of the best putters on the team statistically, but what about in the heat of battle? She hasn't contended much over the course of her career to really know, though she's no doubt a grinder. Time will tell.
Kiara would've been an outside-the-box pick who definitely would've taken up a lot of spotlight. Will likely be on teams for years to come. Tough scene to drop a brand new pro in ... but worth the gamble? Apparently not. Stanford said she would've had to win last week to make the team.
Jenny Bae, Lucy Li, Lexi Thompson and Lilia Vu were the other options.
No one really jumps off that list as a must-have given current form.
Only two players on Team USA have won this season, Nelly Korda and Lauren Coughlin.
Kind of a weird year. Could change in a hurry though looking at who is coming up ...

My idea of balanced reporting is to have both sides mad at me.
Being called a PGA Tour shill by Bryson is the ultimate in hilarity for @AlanShipnuck, who has fried a few brains cells getting on the nerves of Ponte Vedra 😂

Greatly disturbed by this ad. Greatly disappointed in Good Good Golf’s apology.
Hope people in charge are taking this seriously.

Where is the club? Something I always stress to students. Good players know where that club is at every split second in their swing.
Something interesting about Scottie Scheffler…
When I ask golfers about their favorite golf swing feels, 99% of them talk about a feel in their body as they swing.
Scottie talks more generally about feeling “athletic.” And when he does get specific, he talks about feeling the club itself.
🗣️ “My thing is if I can get a feel for where the club is, I can do what I need to do with the golf ball. So if I’m having trouble getting a feel for where the club is I’ll make a little judgment to try to feel the club. That’s why I talk to getting back to neutral and seeing and creating shots, because my goal is always to have a feel for where the clubhead is and then use that feel to curve the golf ball different ways and control it. For me it’s very simple in a sense of like if I can just feel it, then I’m in a good spot. And if I can’t, we’re just trying to figure out how to find it, essentially.”
